The NYPD and our nation's police...

California used to be considered a national trendsetter. Let some cultural innovation catch on out there and supposedly it was only a matter of time before the required thought processes traveled north and east. It may still be that way for many things, I sure hope not.

However other states & cities are also harbringers of things to come. One of them (IMHO) would be NYC. For those of you who detest the Yankees in general and inhabitants of the Big Apple in particular, my condolences. It is what it is.

So that may be why so much attention is currently being paid to the strife between Mayor DeBlasio and the NYPD. If a grand jury verdict for a case like the death of Garner and the following chaos happened in Seattle would anyone pay as much attention? Methinks not.

So when the cops openly defy Hizzoner at a funeral by turning their backs to him; it gets a lot of attention. It seems folks are shocked, shocked I tell you that the rank and file don't appreciate the recent comments made about them.

Imagine, in an occupation where threats to life are to be expected (http://dnainfo.com/new-york/20141231/civic-center/nypd-investigating-threats-kill-officers-on-new-years-eve-sources-say)
the lowly badge wearer expects support from his supervisors.

Obviously it's the fault of the police themselves, they should know their place (http://thefederalist.com/2014/12/31/the-nypds-revolt-is-a-direct-threat-to-democracy/) lest they put us all on the road to Third World anarchy. Noted. Never mind that this sort of threat to the police is spreading (http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/12/31/one-look-at-the-graffiti-image-scrawled-near-a-police-station-and-its-clear-why-officers-are-so-upset/).

All the tongue-in-cheek commentary aside, this blowback by the police was to be expected. Did everyone believe they would meekly go their way, bowing heads in shame whenever some wingnut on the street started screaming, "Racist cops!"?

I believe they've had enough, not just in NYC but all over the nation. In the Big Apple they're starting to NOT enforce the laws. Who can blame them? They'll get paid regardless and if the higher ups are going to swing at them like a bunch of kids at a pinata why stick their necks out? Why put themselves in the line of verbal abuse?

The consequence of this will be the spread of crime throughout the land. As New York goes, so goes the nation.

Stock up on ammo, go to the range more often. Be aware of your surroundings at all times.

Welcome to the 21st century version of America.

Dissing the cops and consequences thereof.

Watching the steady parade of race hustlers run their yaps about Ferguson and NYC brings to mind the 70's and the hollow military we had then.

For anyone reading this who might be unfamiliar with the term, "hollow military" refers to the post Viet Nam military. It was when the armed forces were often held up for contempt and ridicule in popular entertainment, the MSM and even on the floors of Congress, where one Representative who was pushing for reduction in military pay & benefits contemptuously opined, "...they can vote with their feet if they don't like it." when told of the inevitable detriment to morale his actions would have.

"Vote with their feet" is exactly what many good men did back in those days. Whether they couldn't support their families properly, didn't like being treated as second class citizens or they just got fed up with being portrayed in a bad light, many just left. Some of them ended their service well after the ten year mark, the point at which it's often assumed if you go past it you're making the service a career.

Consequently we had undermanned boats which often had crew members that were in the Navy because they couldn't cut the mustard in civilian life. There weren't TOO many men like that, just more than we'd had in times immediately prior and after that interesting decade. In many minds there was the feeling if war broke out we'd be getting our butts kicked from here till breakfast until a draft was instituted and the nation played "catch up" as had happened initially after Pearl Harbor was bombed.

So how does this tie into the denigration of our nation's police in general and specific spots like Ferguson & NYC in particular? Stay with me please, I'll try explaining.

If our nation's police keep getting slammed you can bet there will eventually be an exodus of a lot of qualified men and women. Their places will be filled all too often (after the recruiting standards are lowered) by less than optimum candidates. There will also be a fair number of police departments undermanned and it won't be coincidence that they'll be the ones in the worst areas experiencing crime.

Therefore crime will increase, John & Joan Q. Public will avail themselves of their 2nd Amendment rights, corruption will increase with the attendant increase in bad press from the MSM, vigilante committees will begin cropping up in various hot spots.

We'll either get a national police force (not a good idea, I'll explain in a bit) or we'll descend into permanent chaos, much like out national neighbor to the immediate south of the border.

The idea of a national police force, controlled from D.C. would be bad due to a few factors: A) With such an entity local problems don't get solved locally, they get taken care of by some desk jockey hundreds of miles away from the problem. How effective has that ever proven in other areas? B) Inevitably the members of a national force will be shuffled around, the idea of a local cop who grew up in the same part of the state he presently works in will die off. Along with the end of that locally rooted cop goes a lot of empathy on both his part and that of the local populace for him. C) A national police force is just a bit too much like an occupying army, for proof of that look to Spain under Franco when the Guardia Civil kept firm control of the nation. It wasn't pleasant, at least according to the locals I spoke with at that time.

So it's time for the American people to take a collective deep breath, step back a bit and think of where we're heading. It's time to shut down the professional scaremongers that fan the fires of popular indignation every time some dumbass commits suicide by cop.

Because unlike a "hollow military" where all problems with it are a bit removed from the public eye, a nationwide plague of "hollow police departments" will have immediate and very evident effects.

And it won't be pretty.

Ferguson, illegal aliens, the New Black Panthers and whatever else comes to mind.

Am I the only one who notices how the Administration's allies (MSM) exerted themselves to keep Ferguson on the front burner until the last few days? Plus how this story came out shortly after it was noticed that by de facto amnesty on the part of the White House & Co., many blacks will find the job market even more hostile? That more than one group of prominent blacks was starting to complain about it? Several bloggers have pointed out the lack of coverage regarding black on black crime (Chicago for example) in favor of one selected incident in an obscure town of the Deep South. Gee, what a coincidence.

I think a lot of folks are getting played on this one. Now our Dear Leader will regain the support he may have lost in the black community due to our porous borders and their effect on the poorest of our nation.

As for the New Black Panthers and their presence, can anyone recall any time when these fools did more than pose for the cameras? Seriously, this ain't Huey Newton's gang of thugs. What we're seeing now are a bunch of self important blowhards allowed time on the camera. Kind of like the fools of "Occupy" only with braids. But they DO serve to ramp up the rhetoric at a time when keeping the Ferguson story front and center in the public eye works to the advantage of Dear Leader. Ergo nobody is even thinking of having their butts removed in order to bring some peace and quiet to the town.

The whole damned thing is cheap theater built upon a routine encounter by a dumb felon with the law. Honest, just how often is the same thing happening throughout our nation? C'mon, five gets you ten some dopes committed suicide by cop in several cities since this story hit the news. It happened with white crooks or black crooks, against white or black cops. But we ain't hearing die diddle squat because the realization of how pathetically common it is that stupid punks get themselves killed by the police would only quell the outrage being stoked by the MSM.

We still have two and a half years of this Administration, that's IF some crisis doesn't happen necessitating the imposition of martial law before January of 2017. I don't want to know how much worse things will get, but I believe we're going to find out. Our collective ass is grass and somebody is revving up a power mower.

God's will be done, may He have mercy on us all.

A few quick comments about the USA Catholic bishops and our Pope...

Because it seems they just can't stay out of the news; especially when they really should. Right now I'm thinking of topics such as the swarm of illegal aliens on our southern border, gun control, and feeding at the public trough.

THE BISHOPS: IMO is a bunch of ambitious, vain, self-important idiots who can be counted on to sit on the fence whenever possible, rarely come down on the side of the man in the street and almost always plant a big, wet, sloppy tongue in the rear of the Administration. This is normally done in concert via the USCCB but can be done individually.

THE POPE: Nice guy who should know when he should keep his mouth shut but seens too stupid to do so. The Holy Spirit must know we need a scourging; this time around we don't get Attila The Hun, we get Howdy-Doody.

Nope, ain't no conspiracy in play on the part of either party. Just a whole lot of dumbass, self interest and vanity.

Anyone who wishes to screech I owe them respect due to their position can forget it. In 22 years of military service I learned that is the cheapest form of "respect", one that more often than not is built upon the genuine accomplishments of better, wiser men than whoever may be the present target of conversation/condemnation. The idea of pygmies standing on the shoulders of giants comes to mind. So stick it where the sun don't shine.

For a more in depth but slightly different take on things, go to this lady's blog: http://adriennescatholiccorner.blogspot.com/2014/07/is-catholic-church-in-bed-with-obama.html

While I don't agree with a lot of what she says regarding the root cause, I believe the overall gist of things is dead on the money. Yep, we've been sold down the river by our bishops. Hang onto your rosary beads, the ride is going to get real interesting.

“If you're litigating against nuns, you have probably done something wrong,..."

Ya think? Here's the link: http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/michael-w-chapman/sen-cruz-mr-president-when-did-democratic-party-declare-war-catholic

Just MHO but this won't die an easy death, it's one of many flash points coming to prominence in our nation. Yesterday I was talking to the wife (who routinely suffers through my rants) and noted that many optimists believe in 2016 we'll have a replay of when Reagan trounced Carter. In other words a champion of conservative values will ride a landslide of voter indignation to the Oval Office and we'll see a return to the conservative values now in decline. The sun will come out, birds will chirp and the Millenium will be upon us all.

If only.

Sorry folks, back then the biggest item was how to deal with the USSR, Carter & Co. believed in soft pedaling any differences between us while moving forward in the spirit of detente originally fostered by Gerald Ford. Ronnie Rayguns thought we should stand up to the international bully and face him down. God bless Reagan.

This time around things are considerably different. Our country is fighting over gay marriage, the Affordable Care Act, illegal aliens, gun control, global warming/climate change, the role of the nanny state in our lives, how to deal with followers of the Pedophile Prophet  and probably a few more I can't bring immediately to mind.

We're divided on so many topics and if a strong conservative such as Cruz gets placed in the White House, we can expect a backlash of Biblical proportions from the left side of the aisle. It won't be a redux of Reagan/Carter, it'll fall along the lines of another Civil War.

What led us into this diatribe was a visit by the wife and I to the local range, something we haven't done together for quite some time (FWIW she cleaned my clock, I gotta get out more). Anyway, the upshot of the rant was my warning her she ought to get a CHL and start packing some heat before the 2016 election. IMO the shit will hit the fan shortly after Election Day.

On Murrietta Ca. and Lawrenceville, Va. reception of illegal aliens and the coming apocalypse.

If you've read the news you know that out in Murrietta, Ca. town residents blocked access for three buses carrying illegals to a holding facility there. Seems the townsfolk are fed up with the idea of being a dumping ground for potential criminals and disease carriers.

Prior to that, out in Lawrenceville, Va, the residents got their noses out of joint when the administration of a local college agreed to house approx. 500 illegals. Since the town has a whopping 1500 residents this would put a bit of a strain on their facilities. Once again I'm thinking of crime and disease.

People are getting fed up with this crap. The meme of  "what about the children?" isn't working too well evidently. There are some folks trying to fight back and all too soon I believe we'll see a response from the Administration. Will it involve the National Guard? Will there be some violence? You tell me.

But I live in an area with a lot of non English speaking Hispanics, I've no doubt we'll soon see a lot more. My kid's school will accept new kids without question (they're bound by law to act that way). So it's a good thing the wife is an RN with lots of pediatric experience. It's also a good thing we've a fair sized dog and some firearms in the house.

Things are rapidly approaching the breaking point and not just in the area of illegal immigration. The nation is filled with pissed off people. The vets and their families are pissed at the VA, the pro aborts and their cohort are pissed at the Supremes, Catholics, Evangelicals, the gays are pissed at anyone talking about reparative therapy and how getting your fudge packed isn't just an inherited preference, the libs are pissed at the conservatives, the conservatives at the Tea Party, race relations between blacks & whites have taken a nose dive since Obama was elected. The list goes on and on.

Sooner or later some group is going to attack another. Then all Hell will break loose as it mushrooms into score settling and payback time. Toss in a few Muslim jihadists initiating a 9/11 atrocity or two and everything will go up in flames.

Then we'll see an imposition of martial law (I still think it'll happen before 20 Jan 17) as the Feds clamp down on all activities. That will include the internet, cross country travel, etc. A very vocal portion of our population will welcome it, placing security above freedom. All those government agencies that have been buying up ammo will then show why it was purchased as they field their own SWAT-style enforcement teams against the general public. The clampdown will be promised just "for the duration". Noted.

It could happen under either a Democratic or Republican Administration. As I've already mentioned I believe its more likely to occur before any successor to Obama takes office. I might be wrong, it might happen after he leaves. But it's becoming more likely as time goes on.

The groups targeted for persecution will include all the devoutly religious (even Muslims once they've served their purpose), all veterans (especially the younger ones), all 2nd Amendment advocates, all political non conformists. Stay in the middle of the herd or you'll get culled.

Just to make one point here; I don't believe any of this is or was deliberately orchestrated. What we have is a self-absorbed populace electing (twice!) a poster boy for affirmative action. Like all those hired in the name of "diversity" the man is incredibly out of his depth. The incompetence of him and his cronies are the real driving engine here, aided and abetted by an electorate that is too focused on creature comforts and personal gain. But the end result is the same as if there was some sinister puppeteer pulling the unseen strings, i.e. the final destruction of our nation as we knew it.

Maybe I'm as wrong as a football bat, I sure do hope so. But IMO our nation has already died, we're just going through the start of the death rattle.

God help us all, may His will be done.

FCC regarding newsroom monitors. (Update added)

Here's the latest on the FCC monitoring what comes from the newsrooms of the MSM: http://thehill.com/blogs/hillicon-valley/technology/198799-fcc-no-intention-of-regulating-journalism

Basically they're telling the world, "Trust me". That reminds me of an old joke; "How does someone from New York City tell you to get screwed?"

The answer is "Trust me."

I can believe no one has evil intent in regards to this, but then who gets up in the morning, stretches his arms out and shouts, "What a wonderful day! It's time to perpetrate evil in any way possible!"

Hey, even Hitler thought he was justified for his actions. So did Stalin. So did Mao. The list goes on
and on.

This week the FCC will be content with peeking over the shoulders of newsroom workers. In the future whats to prevent them from "suggesting" what stories to cover and in what manner?

Did we forget the lessons taught by the trial of John Peter Zenger? Ae we so far down the road to perdition we completely disregard such things?

UPDATE: Evidently the cockroaches are scurrying out of the light: http://www.politico.com/blogs/media/2014/02/fcc-backs-off-newsroom-study-183772.html

Another reason to get my news from the Net.

So now the FCC may be monitoring how the MSM does their job: http://www.redstate.com/diary/matthewclark/2014/02/18/obama-administration-putting-government-monitors-newsrooms/

Maybe they haven't bowed deeply enough to The One.

Stand by folks, it's getting worse. No, it won't matter who sits in the Oval Office come Jan. 16, 2017. My money still says there will be a "crisis" of some sort resulting in the imposition of martial law, a lockdown of our nation and 1984, here we come!

But I could be wrong, Madame Hillary could be elected and safely assume office, it won't matter though. The deals have been made, the die is cast and we are screwed. If I have the misfortune to be right the only thing saving us will be a successful counter revolution (Holy God in Heaven, am I REALLY saying this?). Don't bet on a counter revolution, don't bet on success. We can only go out like men. No retreat and no surrender once the battles begin.

May God's will be done and may He have mercy upon us all.

Tinfoil hat time?

So let me see if I understand some recent stories. The DOJ has decided that minority students can't be disciplined in the same manner as their white classmates. The IRS will insure employers don't fire their workers in order to more easily comply with the Affordable Care Act. The DOJ will now recognize all same sex weddings in every state (all 57?) regardless of what local law may proscribe. The head of that same DOJ is now pushing for ex felons to be given the right to vote. The DHS is currently in the market for 141,000 rounds of sniper quality ammo (and it's damn depressing when Alex Jones is accurately covering such a story). The Ohio National Guard recently conducted training under a scenario where right-wing terrorists were the designated foe. Let's not forget the DOD school for the military's EO program has been caught promulgating the notion that conservative Christians and their values are not to be tolerated.

Another way to see it is that the Feds are completely taking over our kids' education and morphing it into genuine propaganda (while all students will be equal some will be more equal than others). The private market place is coming under complete government control. The voter base for our current regime will be expanded by any means possible (I haven't even mentioned pandering to the illegal immigrants). Our government is conditioning the military into a mindset of unquestioning animosity towards traditional values at the same time their prepping for war against the civilian community at large (if you think G.I. Joe will conscientiously refer to the copy of the Constitution he carries in his backpack, think again. Our troops are just as ignorant as their civilian counterparts, after all they DID attend the same schools.).

Did I miss any big ticket items? Am I misstating anything here?

Tell me again how things will magically turn around in 2016 and I'll tell you how I doubt it. Tell me again how we can't possibly be seeing the groundwork laid for the declaration of martial law. Keep telling me and as God is my witness, I hope you'll be right.

Because right now I've a feeling we're all in for a taste of Hell on Earth.

God's will be done, may He have mercy upon us all.

Time for a revolution.

Here's why: http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/Closure-of-War-Memorials-Continues-to-Cause-Conflict-226481851.html

When you can't even pay your respects to the dead due to political games then somebody needs an ass whipping.

It wasn't bad enough that the Viet Nam War was so mismanaged that we're still not too certain WHY we were over there. It wasn't bad enough that the MSM was actively seeking out every nitwit who would trash talk the military and present their opinion as "thoughtful commentary". It wasn't bad enough that anyone fighting there became fair game for the politcally correct self-adulating numbskulls of our nation's colleges & universities. It wasn't bad enough that when our troops exposed to Agent Orange started having problems from it, the intial reaction was "What a bunch of whiners, the good ole US of A would NEVER do that to our own!". It wasn't bad enough that idiots like Jane Fonda and John Kerry profited by vilifying those who served. It wasn't bad enough that initially Viet Nam vets were barred from membership in the VFW because "Viet Nam wasn't REALLY a war" (this was the sentiment from members of the so called "Greatest Generation").

Nope, now they can't even honor their dead.

It's time for someone to get their ass whipped (I already said that but it needed repeating).

The Zimmerman case and dogs not barking...

Okay, the Zimmerman trial is over but the furor continues. See the stories here, here, and here for a taste of whats going on.

Our self-styled masters are happily watching while the hoi-poli get their panties in a twist while ignoring the slight of hand being played out right in front of our eyes.

In the last week or so have we seen anything about Benghazi, the NSA monitoring of all communications (yep, Snowden's flight has gotten SOME press. It's a side issue to the problem he brought to light), the wiretapping of the AP by the FBI? Nope, I haven't seen much (if anything) either.

Instead of that we're fed sensationalist crap. Yeah, Zimmerman's trial held a lot of folks' attention. Many people could relate to either the defendant or the deceased youth he shot. Got it.

But that identification only served to allow us to be further divided. For this I place the blame squarely on the shoulders of our politicians. Examples can be found here, here and here.

Chief amongst them is what our Commander-in-Chief has said. Hey, didja notice that his words do NOTHING to pour oil on troubled waters, that they allow another opening for the topic of gun control (never let a crisis go to waste)?

The MSM continues it's love affair with all liberal thinking. as proven here. No oil on troubled waters from that quarter either. I originally thought they weren't giving a lot of coverage to the riotous aftermath that is now growing since the trial verdict came in due to a desire to help keep the lid on things. No such luck. If they'd actually been trying to tone down the violence the airheads I just cited would have been muzzled. So why are the incidents of unrest being downplayed by our own media so that the most reliable reporting comes from the likes of the BBC? My guess is that by keeping it off the front page there'll be more time for it to further evolve and take root. Then when it finally does hit the front page of our local fish wrap it will be accompanied by loud cries for our government to "do something" and the more drastic the better. Maybe by itself it can't be used for imposition of marital law, but toss in another Boston Marathon type bombing or Sandy Hook shooting and who knows what we'll be ready to accept in the way of our liberties being curtailed?

All of this goes on while those items we should actually be concerned about die a quiet death. Heard anything lately about Fast & Furious? Me neither. The questions about Benghazi are petering out of the news also. Ditto for the FBI wiretapping the AP. As previously mentioned the only thing we hear with any regularity about the NSA is an update on Snowden's whereabouts. The REAL questions are being ignored, questions such as "If this surveillance was so great how was it the Boston Marathon got bombed like it did?"

We're being played like a piano, the government and it's MSM lackeys might as well be Van Cliburn.

Look, I followed the Zimmerman trial as avidly as anyone else. But at the end of the day, just how important was it? Never mind my personal opinions on whether justice was done, anyone who spent five minutes reading this blog can figure that one out. The trial and verdict ARE-NOT-IMPORTANT!! Sensational courtroom drama comes and goes, we've seen the OJ trial, the Michael Jackson trial, the Kermit Gosnell trial, and the beat goes on. How much importance did ANY of these exercises in jurisprudence have for the average man on the street? The answer is Z-I-P-P-O.

Nowhere near as important as the erosion of our liberties. The things we should be getting riled up about are kept out of sight as much as possible. In their place we're offered a lot of intellectual fluff.

Well continue to see these charades played out. As more scandals come to light, more of them will be relegated to the back pages of the local fishwrap while "human interest" type stories take over the front page. Some kid in East Oshkosh will fall down a well and it'll be above the fold, dead center on Page One. At the same time any followup on the items I've already mentioned just MIGHT get some play on page ten.

While this goes on, the public in general will become more restless, they'll know theres more happening as they see or hear of riots in their area taking place. I'm not talking strictly about racial problems either. More and more discontent will grow and when the time is right and the powers that be feel they can do it, we'll see a nationwide crackdown on dissent. Suddenly the country's unrest will be acknowledged as our "fearless leaders" step up to the plate to address it. They'll declare martial law, impose curfews, silence all social media. Our nation will be in lockdown mode.

After that things start getting bad.

May God's will be done and may He have mercy upon us all.

Respect for the position held...

A comment I made on another blog was removed, evidently I was less than respectful about the conduct of the person the original post was about. Whatever.

I get that sort of treatment a lot and probably for whats considered good reason. Evidently someone who retired as a senior enlisted man in the military should act with more respect towards authority figures. The idea is to respect the position the person holds no matter what their own personal shortcomings are. Noted.

FWIW, over the years I've come to the conclusion that is the cheapest form of respect in existence. When it's the only one cited you can bet the person involved is basically standing on the shoulders of better men (or women) than they may ever be. They're sponging off the accomplishments of others who actually performed in an exemplary manner and brought a lot of credit to their position.

Somehow my reasoning gets little traction, mostly (IMO) because everyone wants to worship some idol. Just ignore those feet of clay and prostrate yourself, Chumly. Got it.

It reminds me of an old tale told about Socrates. He was boiling some bean soup as an acquaintance walked by who called out, "If you learned to say nice things to the king you wouldn't have to eat bean soup".

The response from Socrates was, "If you learned to how eat bean soup you wouldn't have to say nice things to the king".

You can take that one to the bank. My own favorite dish is boiled ham hocks with kidney beans and onions plus a side of corn bread. Thanks for listening.

Thought control in the 21st Century.

I see that two priests who withdrew their parish support for the BSA are now under fire from the left http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/abbott/130604 . Figures, only happily advocating that we're now in the best of all worlds since the Scouts opened their doors to flamboyantly gay boys will be tolerated. Dissenters will be bound in chains and cast into the outer darkness.

The next stage will be the coming to the fore of indoctrination of the young. THAT is what the real problem with the capitulation of the BSA is. Nobody ever checked on how the individual Scouts were sexually oriented, this was a trap from the get-go. By allowing themselves to be drawn into it the BSA is now trying to prove a negative, i.e. "We're not homophobes!". Good luck with that.

In allowing the subject to be raised it became important for the Scout leadership to prove their tolerance, by doing that the clear message is sent to our youth that "Gay is okay". And so the indoctrination continues, soon it will require actually proving you've engaged in gay sex to be accepted. We've gone from acceptance to open advocacy being the only preferred option. This is a culture mindset as was recently proven by a leaked DOJ instruction that specified silence on the topic could be viewed as dissent (http://townhall.com/columnists/toddstarnes/2013/05/28/doj-tells-employees-to-verbally-affirm-homosexuality-n1607910/page/full).

So what is the solution? IMO those of us with children can only teach them what is right and wrong to the best of our abilities. Is that enough? The only comfort I take is the knowledge that Christ said He would be with His Church until the end of time. Other than that, there is little cause for hope. I base this on personal experience with the school system here in Princeton. Because we DO need the services provided by the ADD Act, our kids go to public school. It requires constant vigilance even here. As an example; a few years back our oldest boy (six at the time) was REALLY obsessed with Halloween . We were hearing about what he wanted to dress up as in the middle of May for heaven's sake.

I put the brakes on that PDQ, letting him know that it's a phony "holiday" and that it actually could be used to celebrate anti Christian beliefs and practices. The following week I found that he had told one of his special needs teachers about it. Her response was "Tell your father that Halloween is mentioned in the Bible".

I never really found out where she was coming from. Since we were due for a formal meeting with the school administration to discuss his progress, the wife convinced me to let her handle it. I tend to act like a madman with a meat axe on certain topics and this would be one of them. Anyway, the teacher's comment was mentioned by the wife at that get together, we had no more problems with said teacher. She left at the end of the school year too.

But this illustrates how the mindset of "we know better than the parents" permeates the education system, even down here in supposedly uber red Texas.

So far this post has centered on the topic of the BSA's recent decision and fallout from it. There are other examples of concern for Americans in general and parents in particular.

This story here tells of how a soldier honoring the law of the land is seeing his career scuttled:  http://radio.foxnews.com/toddstarnes/top-stories/soldier-punished-for-serving-chick-fil-a.html

Real cute, huh?

As the current dust up with the IRS investigating multiple groups inimical to the present Administration shows, it doesn't pay to indulge in thought crime. Big Brother doesn't like dissenters.  We're seeing a lot of misdirection in this area also, a couple of weeks ago when the story was initially cresting I opened my copy of the local fish wrap to see headlines about Angelina Jolie having her boobs bobbed. That was top center of the front page. Now I'll grant it IS legitimate news, something a lot of women may be inspired by. After all in the name of preventive measures Ms. Jolie is trimming down her most noticeable acting assets (ever seen her movies? "Girl Interrupted" is the only one I recall without the T & A factor).

So while a story of how Brad Pitt has lost his two best friends should be published, it definitely DOES NOT need to be taking the place of an update on the IRS scandal. Or the investigation of what really happened at Benghazi. Or the outcome of the Kermit Gosnell trial. Bread and circuses, bread and circuses.

Where do I think its all going? IMHO we'll see a continuation of misdirection, more intimidation of those of us holding traditional values, a greater "celebration" of the new morality. It's the loss of morality that concerns me most. Hey, isn't every story I just cited rooted in a loss of morals?

At the end of the day anyone espousing traditional morality will do so at great risk. This will apply especially to parents. Since I want to stay focused this post will continue on about gay rights and our cultural indoctrination in that area. But to tell the truth most of this could also be said about other topics, just take your pick and apply at will.

When little Johnny tells "Teacher" that it's downright weird for his classmate to have two daddies, the results will make heads spin.

The parents of Johnny will be called up to speak to the school administration, being put on notice of the emotional trauma their little darling caused his classmate. The local LGBTQ advocates will swing into action by having the parents sued. CPS will get involved, they'll cite unnamed sources who detail how Johnny exhibits all the behavior of a severely abused child.

May God help the family of Johnny if  "Mom and Dad" stand their ground, the equivalent of pitchforks and torches will be broken out. Whichever parent is employed will find their employer deluged with hate mail. Their address and phone number will be spread across the Internet. Being "swatted" is a real possibility. The only acceptable response will be total capitulation with screams of "mea culpa" at top volume.

So we will not only have to teach our children to completely disregard all other sources of moral teaching, they'll have to learn to keep it quiet also. This will be done while enthusiastically avowing support for "gay rights". Remember, silence = disapproval.

As I stated earlier, the only thing I draw comfort from is the promise of Christ to stand with His Church until the end of time.

God's will be done and may He have mercy upon us all.

Found this via Cain TV..

By DAN CALABRESE - Gratitude.
Yesterday we all watched with heavy hearts as an entire town was destroyed. In Moore, Oklahoma, we're told that as many as 3,500 homes were flattened by the massive tornado that swept through the town, while the deaths of as many as 30 children at one elementary school broke the hearts of their families as well as the nation, while at the same time we thanked God for the fact that children at another school came out OK.

Today, people who have lost everything take stock, pray to God and start over.

Often on this web site and others, we report on people who will do anything - honest, ethical and moral . . . or otherwise - to protect their position, their status, their standing in the polls, their 15-cent-per-hour raise, their benefits, their property value or their right to party.

I wonder how some of these folks would handle it if they truly lost everything, when it seems sometimes they would melt into wax if they ever lost anything.

Anyway, with that in mind, I thank God for what He has blessed me with, and I ask him to help those who have lost so much - as well as those who have allowed the very condition of their souls to become dependent on what they have.

The coming face of true gun control.

So the wacko NRA and their fellow travelers are needlessly worried about gun control measures to be passed because we all know our Constitutional rights will never ever be infringed. Right?

Evidently legislators in the Peoples Republic of Washington State didn't get that memo or just don't care about things like the Fourth Amendment: http://seattletimes.com/html/localnews/2020373291_westneat17xml.html

I'm a political novice so could somebody explain how THE AUTHOR of a bill wouldn't know what in hell was in it? I know ObamaCare is an example (Hey guys, let's vote the sucker in so we'll find out whats in it!) but that thing is an exception. I hope.

Yes, this is a racist post...

I firmly believe that every ethnicity has traits peculiar to that group.

In this case, judging by the pictures, it's easy to see that stupidity is perfected by white folk: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/02/16/clear-his-name-protesters-rally-in-support-of-christopher-dorner-outside-lapd-headquarters/

Those of us who are "melanin challenged" know how to set the standard for D-U-M-B.

Benedict XVI steps aside....

If these were tranquil idyllic times there would be no problem with an 85 yr. old man leading the Church.

They're not. IMHO he's acting with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, moving aside and clearing the decks for battles to come.

Time for the Church Militant to man Battle Stations, the Enemy is once again on the radar and will soon be in sight.

God's will be done and may He have mercy on us all.
