Am I the only one who notices how the Administration's allies (MSM) exerted themselves to keep Ferguson on the front burner until the last few days? Plus how this story came out shortly after it was noticed that by de facto amnesty on the part of the White House & Co., many blacks will find the job market even more hostile? That more than one group of prominent blacks was starting to complain about it? Several bloggers have pointed out the lack of coverage regarding black on black crime (Chicago for example) in favor of one selected incident in an obscure town of the Deep South. Gee, what a coincidence.

I think a lot of folks are getting played on this one. Now our Dear Leader will regain the support he may have lost in the black community due to our porous borders and their effect on the poorest of our nation.

As for the New Black Panthers and their presence, can anyone recall any time when these fools did more than pose for the cameras? Seriously, this ain't Huey Newton's gang of thugs. What we're seeing now are a bunch of self important blowhards allowed time on the camera. Kind of like the fools of "Occupy" only with braids. But they DO serve to ramp up the rhetoric at a time when keeping the Ferguson story front and center in the public eye works to the advantage of Dear Leader. Ergo nobody is even thinking of having their butts removed in order to bring some peace and quiet to the town.

The whole damned thing is cheap theater built upon a routine encounter by a dumb felon with the law. Honest, just how often is the same thing happening throughout our nation? C'mon, five gets you ten some dopes committed suicide by cop in several cities since this story hit the news. It happened with white crooks or black crooks, against white or black cops. But we ain't hearing die diddle squat because the realization of how pathetically common it is that stupid punks get themselves killed by the police would only quell the outrage being stoked by the MSM.

We still have two and a half years of this Administration, that's IF some crisis doesn't happen necessitating the imposition of martial law before January of 2017. I don't want to know how much worse things will get, but I believe we're going to find out. Our collective ass is grass and somebody is revving up a power mower.

Questions about the illegals flooding across the border...

So one of the objections to this whole farce is the "catch and release" scenario that many claim gets played out, i.e. an illegal is brought in, processed and given a date to appear. Then he/she is released on the promise to do so. Big surprise, so many just hit the road and don't look back. Who'd a thunk it!

Why not start implanting GPS chips on them before their release? They're easy to install and pretty reliable from what I understand. Please don't cry of how inhumane it is and we're treating people like animals. Sorry but we give preventive medicine via injection to kids and animals, is there any shame attached to that or is it considered a good practice? It sure would help to locate Juan and Maria when they failed to show up for breaking our laws, it might even serve as a deterrent.

Here's another question, specifically about all the children now flooding in. How come so many folk are eager to have the little darlings united with their parents who are either here (illegally) already or are waiting to be ushered in because their kids have been made citizens? These children have been (supposedly) set loose to trek hundreds of miles into a strange land on their own. What kind of parents allow that? If I leave my kids in our car (even with the windows down) while running into the store for a gallon of milk, I'm likely to be talking to CPS real soon about my fitness as a father. Yet our bleeding hearts are ready to jump backwards through flaming hoops in efforts to reunite the families of illegals who have definitely placed their kids in harm's way. WTF? Am I the only one baffled by the lack of logic here?

Dear Lord, take me back through that wormhole I dropped into when I came to this bizarro universe, I wanna go home!

Honestly it sounds so typical of Big Brother, i.e. "Let's not tell the man in the street how fubar things are and maybe the problem will resolve itself." Sometimes I wonder if the denizens in Foggy Bottom have to recite that mantra as a secret password to enter their office in the morning. That snark applies to both sides of the aisle. This immigration debacle is a prime example of the politicians trying their best over the years to sweep it under the rug when possible and put a smiley face sticker on it when they can't. IMO there should have been a 20 ft. high chain link fence, topped with concertina wire erected on the border decades ago. To augment that the Feds should have mined the perimeters for 20 yards out on both sides, with multiple signs for the next outer 10 yards that would advise everyone just what to expect when crossing the border. If that sounds barbaric, heartless, cruel, etc. then answer me this, "If our nation is so cruel why do we need fences to keep people OUT rather than in (ala Cuba and all former border nations of the USSR?)".

Ya know I really sympathize with anyone trying to get in via legal or illegal means. We had a guy in our men's retreat group at our church a few years back who was of questionable status. He told some real horror stories in the short time we were there. They involved getting shot at, his kid's safety, his in laws hard luck. I really felt for him.

But how much can we as a nation take on? Aside from the strain of so many new immigrants on our basic infrastructure, just what do they have to look forward to in the long run? Let's face it, by utilizing so many underpaid, non benefit drawing humans we've got a form of financial slavery going on right now. Riddle me this; Is it really compassion to allow so many to come to this nation where they'll basically work as a perpetual underclass as long as they remain officially "off the radar" ?  We've a nation where their desirability to be hired is based in a large part on a willingness to work for slave wages, how humane is that really? While they're doing this they're apart from their home, much of their extended family, their culture. How fucking humanitarian is that?

If we want to be truly Christian in this we should aid in the development of the nations these folks come from. That aid would NOT be our reflexive hurling money at them. It hasn't worked in decades, it ain't ever going to work.

Do I know exactly what would satisfactorily work? No, I don't. But I do know we helped two nations rebuild themselves from the ground up after WWII. Those two would be Germany and Japan. It wasn't done by just tossing money at the fat cats in charge, placing our hands in our pockets and walking away whistling. We were a lot more intimately involved, having kicked the snot out of those nations had something to do with it, so that particular paradigm couldn't be followed in our present situation. But I bring it up to illustrate there's more than one way to help a country get on it's feet.

This is all off the original topic, right now we should focus on where our own nation is heading. From where I sit it doesn't look good. Let some sort of epidemic break out, even for something as innocuous as the common cold, and all hell will follow.

My two cents on various topics.

Obama giving amnesty to illegal aliens. Does anyone else sense some exploitation of the illegals here? I mean this effort to allow their residence is aimed primarily at the young, i.e. those in the black market work force. IMO El Presidente is trying to satisfy both the bleeding hearts who think we should have open borders AND Big Business. It seems pretty damned blatant to me, am I getting delusional? By the way, it does diddle-squat with helping John & Joan Q. Public get a job or send their own kids to college.

The military "celebrating" gay pride month. Why focus on someone's sexual preferences, especially in an organization that puts a premium on efficiency and success (if you think the $200 dollar toilet seats were excessive, let me tell you a few stories about private sector waste, fraud & abuse)? This whole thing is absurd and an effort by the top brass to do some serious butt smooching. As I've stated before, gays in the military existed long before Don't Ask, Don't Tell. If they did their damned job (most did) they were treated the same as the rest of us who kept our love lives out of the workplace. DADT set up this scenario, we're now seeing it come to fruition (no pun intended). After the Defense Of Marriage Act is repealed we'll see the same dog-and-pony show regarding the "celebration" of a very small minorities' sexual appetites. My final observation is the maintenance or imposition of ANY moral values via legislation is doomed to failure, it's first and always a battle fought in the schools and homes. Much of what we now see can be attributed to the faulty or nonexistent parenting by earlier generations, including the so-called "Greatest Generation".

Non coverage of religiously themed events. A hell of a lot of people don't know these things even happened. Thank God for the Internet and bloggers in it. Will it be enough to bring these issues to the forefront of public discourse? IMO the jury is still out on that one. God's will be done.

Arab Spring/Freedom's Winter. Stand by, we're going to have one hell of a lot of trouble erupting out of the Middle East, all of it courtesy of those who follow the Pedophile Prophet. Can 7th century Islam survive sustained contact with Western Civilization? At one time I felt it was almost a sure thing, given the tendency of Western Culture to screw itself. Now, I'm not so sure. But IMO both will be irrevocably changed and the how/wherefore is still to be determined.

Romney as President=Obama Lite. In other words, We The People are royally screwed no matter what happens in November. I'll still vote and it will probably be for Romney. But it never helps to rename rape as love.

Hikers stunned by grisly human head discovery in Hollywood Hills

The search for human remains resumed at sunrise Wednesday in the Hollywood Hills, where a human head was found by two dog-walkers the day before.

The entrance to Bronson Canyon in Griffith Park was closed by a police blockade Wednesday morning, and coroner's office vans were on scene, along with a canine unit.

Authorities were attempting to learn more about the man whose head was found wrapped in a plastic bag Tuesday afternoon near the "Hollywood" sign.

Neighbors who frequent the park said they were stunned after hearing what had been found.

Liam Lesevour, 35, said it was "freaky" to know a human head was found in the same place he walks his dog, Tiger, each morning.

With all the law enforcement activity, "everybody here just assumed it's just a hiker that got stuck," said Carole Joseph, who has lived nearby more than 40 years and was walking her 10-year-old shepherd, Sadie, on Wednesday morning.
Many of the regulars believe the head must have been dumped there sometime after the Tuesday morning rush. In the mornings, there are always at least 10 people walking through the park, sometimes even before dawn.

Had it been there Tuesday morning, they said, surely another dog would have spotted it.

"If it was up there in the morning, he would have found it," Lesevour said, pointing to Tiger, a 4-year-old greyhound and pitbull mix.

The toll free hot line — 855-448-6903 — will be staffed 24 hours a day and run by Immigration and Customs Enforcement to answer questions from people held in local jails about whether they may face deportation proceedings.

The hot line is the latest move by the Obama administration to address concerns about suspected illegal immigrants held in local jails. Earlier this month, Homeland Security ended agreements that had allowed deputies at an Arizona sheriff's office to check the immigration status of local jail inmates after a Justice Department report outlined allegations of racial profiling and discrimination against Latinos.

Alabama agriculture officials are stumped over how to keep farms operating now that the state's draconian new immigration law chased away all of the low paid (however illegal) labor. The latest idea: Hire prisoners. The Associated Press reports:

The nursery and landscape industry will need as many as 4,000 workers in southern counties early in 2012 to get ready for the growing season, he said, and forestry and farming will require still more laborers. Unable to find legal residents to fill all the employment gaps, [Deputy commissioner with the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries Brett] Hall said the Agriculture Department is consulting with the Department of Corrections to determine whether prisoners could do some of the work.

But we thought America was experiencing an economic downturn, leaving many Americans out of work. A quick Google search reveals that Alabama is actually worse off than the rest of the country, with a 9.3 percent rate of unemployment. What's wrong with helping out on a farm? Is the pay crappy? That's actually not it:

Farmers have complained of a lack of field hands since parts of the law took effect in late September. Many have said legal residents aren't physically able or mentally tough enough to perform the work, and others won't do so because it doesn't pay enough.

Hall said the agriculture positions pay well above minimum wage, but many Americans find them too "physically taxing" to perform.

This sounds just like that comedic mockumentary that Hollywood dreamed up a few years ago, A Day Without a Mexican, except it's not that funny because it's actually happening. Also kind of sad.

My first full time job was as a field hand chopping weeds with a hoe that had been fit with a 18" handle, the kind that Caesar Chavez successfully fought to eliminate because of it's long term effects on the backs of farm workers. He was right, use one of them for too long and you'd have a permanent curve to your spine.

That was my first job out of high school, all of my coworkers were either in high school or newly graduated like myself. Where were the illegals? Well they actually KNEW something about farming so they were working the tractors, combines, etc. Heck of a nice bunch too, always very friendly. On payday they'd go zipping into town all piled in a pickup shouting "Vino, seniorita, musica" to us as they drove by.

That was my FIRST full time job. It made me glad to join the Navy, learn a trade and not spend too many years doing grunt work.

After I'd moved down here to Texas in '98 I spent some time bouncing around jobs. As part of my work history I signed onto a temp agency. I'd take ANY job, there were jobs I'd go on where I was the only Anglo and only non Spanish speaking worker. The white foremen didn't seem to have too high a regard for me. Guess I looked like white trash scraping the bottom of the barrel for his next cheap drunk. Whatever.

What's the point of this trip down memory lane? Well IMHO if you're motivated enough to work there is NO job beneath you. Physically taxing ones (farm labor) can be done by men in their late teens and early twenties. We've certainly got enough of them, far too many on the welfare rolls and dropping out of school. Other jobs are easily done by the older (and fatter) members of our nation. Please remember, I'm speaking from personal experience.

Want to motivate the native born Americans to pick jobs formerly done by illegal aliens? Just bring the gravy train known as public assistance to a screaming halt and pay a decent wage for the physically arduous work instead of the chicken feed thrown to those on their way to joining what has been forming into our national underclass.

If we want to be a nation with a "can do" attitude, a lot of that mindset has to come from being faced with "must do" choices, i.e. "I MUST find a job of ANY sort that will feed me, pay my rent and keep clothing on my back or else I'll be hungry, homeless and damned near naked."

If it sounds harsh it's only because it is. Face it, life isn't Burger King and by always ennabling the sloth of our less fortunate we only do them and us a disservice. As proof I offer the obesity "epidemic" so prevalent amongst our "poor". Sorry, you get obese from not working off the calories you ingest, end of story there. Nobody wakes up in the morning, looks in the mirror and screams, "Honey, call the doctor!! I done got the fat bug!" Once again, thats the voice of my personal experience speaking (50 lbs. overweight). I didn't put on the lard overnight nor did anyone else with a gut on them.

So if we're to be a nation of hardworkers we need the necessity of hard work. Just my opinion.

PHOENIX (AP) -- Mexico and 10 other Latin American countries want a federal appeals court to consider their viewpoints in Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer's appeal of a ruling that put parts of her state's new immigration law on hold.

The countries are asking the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for permission to file so-called friend-of-the-court briefs in Brewer's appeal of the ruling, which arose from a lawsuit by the U.S. Justice Department.

The 11 countries say they have an interest in ensuring they have reliable relations with the United States that aren't frustrated by Arizona.

Mexico is joined in the request by Argentina, Boliva, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Paraguay and Peru.

Supporters of the law say it's intended to confront the state's vast illegal immigration woes that Washington is confronting adequately.

Leaked Memo: Department of Homeland Security Contemplates Amnesty By Executive Fiat

Remember the amnesty memos? The leaked documents that showed officials in the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) agency discussing an Obama administration end-run around Congress to implement an administrative amnesty for untold numbers of illegal immigrants? It turns out that USCIS wasn't alone.

TAS has obtained a draft of a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) memo that sources say eventually made it all the way up to Secretary Janet Napolitano talking about doing much the same thing -- except in much greater technical detail and with more attention to the political ramifications. The idea is that the first phase of a program to legalize illegal immigrants could be implemented by DHS even in the absence of "comprehensive immigration reform." Or, as the memo puts it, by "using administrative measures to sidestep the current state of Congressional gridlock and inertia."

The memo emphasizes registering, fingerprinting, and screening the illegal immigrant population ("excluding individuals who pose a security risk") but the administrative processes envisioned involve giving eligible illegal immigrants work permits and an interim process to "legalize those who qualify and intend to stay here." The memo does acknowledge Congress would have to act to extend permanent lawful residence.

"If going forward with a larger registration program is not possible," the document obtained by TAS says, "we could propose a narrowly-tailored registration program for individuals eligible for relief under the DREAM Act, AgJOBS, or other specifically designed subcategories." The DREAM Act and AgJOBS are pieces of legislation -- targeted amnesties -- that Congress has not voted to pass.

Most of this is consistent with the USCIS memos reported on earlier, except there is a lot more concern over how Congress will react: "The Secretary would face criticism that she is abdicating her charge to enforce the immigration laws. Internal complaints of this type from career DHS officers are likely and may also be used in the press to bolster the criticism."

Like with the USCIS memo, the administration is likely to argue that this just reflects internal deliberations rather than any official policy. And this document is a draft that could have been modified as it moved up the chain of command. More to follow.

Vigilantes?

When John & Joan Q. Public feel the authorities aren't responding properly to a problem, they'll take things into their own hands.

There have been other indicators that the American public is damned well fed up by inaction and spineless waffling regarding enemies within our borders. Another example would be the spate of recent attacks on Hispanics in Staten Island by local blacks who shout anti Mexican epithets. Since blacks are harder hit than whites when cheap labor is done "off the books" by illegal aliens, it makes sense the action would come from that quarter first.

That is just an example, there have been others. I didn't really jump on them because conspiracy theories are a dime a dozen, why add a baseless one of my own?

Some years ago I became interested in vigilantes, I think it was about the time the movie "Death Wish" came out. A lot of folk were fantasizing about that sort of thing then. The "Remo Williams" series of books was popular then also, if you haven't read them I'll just say they involve a government agent who kills anything that looks cross eyed at him, unless it's a good looking babe. Not exactly Shakespeare. The appetite for them wasn't hard to figure out. Crime was up all over the nation, the most outlandish stories surfaced of criminal's "rights" trumping the suffering of their victims (even worse than today, believe it or not). Life sucked for the law abiding.

Not too different from now. It's just we're not looking at the same sort of criminals as we were then. Now it's the Islamofacists who worship a Pedophile Prophet until almost like clockwork some jihadist goes and shoots up an Army base, a Jewish center, tries to blow up Times Square, wears exploding jockey shorts on an airliner. This is always accompanied by the hand wringing of our politicians who worry that there will be a backlash against innocent muslims. Noted.

Or if it isn't the Cultists of the Koran it's the illegal aliens. They're swarming into our prisons, flooding the ER's of local border state hospitals, sucking up every benny they can get for just breathing on the right side of the border. This is done while spending a fair amount of time trashing the USA because of perceived "racism". Again, our politicians do N-O-T-H-I-N-G at the Federal level except to punish local officials who want the damned laws enforced.

I briefly mentioned getting interested in the history of vigilantes. It seems one of the lasting traits of our nation is a willingness to act on our own when the need is perceived. I'd say that perception is here and all that's lacking is a spark to set it off. Just my opinion.

John & Joan Q. Public are getting mighty tired of it all. If some things don't change PDQ then stand by for a wave of vigilantism.

As for me, whenever it's necessary I'll be practicing a piece of military advice some say has existed since the time of the Roman Legions, i.e. "Keep your mouth shut, your eyes and ears open and don't volunteer anything".

Just where in hell are we?

How did we get here? It's absurd. Imagine the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor being followed up by the sitting President claiming it was perpetrated by a unrepresentative portion of the Japanese people, because "we all know Bushido as practiced over there is about peace".

Following on with that, imagine an outpouring of sympathy for all Japanese as victims of imperial colonialism, an admiration for their past cultural achievements (even if those achievements had to be dreamed up), and an ongoing concern that the Japanese in this country not be "profiled".

Just how stupid would that have been? Chances are we'd see a Shinto temple near where the Arizona Memorial currently resides had that stupidity existed then.

IMO when 9/11/01 happened while Muslims danced in the streets after the perpetrators were found to be their fellow cult followers, all the stops should have been pulled out to wipe anyone associated with that "religion" off the face of the earth.

Yet here we are, almost nine years after 9/11/01. Look at what goes on.

The cult of Islam has gone from a item of curiosity to something factored into all discussions regarding religion in this country. This happens despite the fact that followers of the Pedophile Prophet make up less than 2% of the national population. That 2% figure is generous, many cite the actual amount as less than 1%.

The President and his immediate predecessor seemed to do whatever possible to downplay any connection between mainstream Islam and terrorist acts. I didn't know a lot about Islam before 9/11, but I've learned a fair amount since then.

I've learned how the Pedophile Prophet played everything for his personal gain. If his followers were limited to four wives, he get an exemption straight from Allah. If it worked to his advantage to suck up to infidels, he was all for peace. If it helped him to cut infidel throats then sharpen the knives baby, papa is going to work.

I've learned that every claim of Muslim tolerance was either an aberration or pure bullshit. I've learned that every country embracing this cult promptly became more backwards. I've learned that until oil was discovered under the sands these fools live on, the followers of Islam didn't have a thing going for them.

I've learned that the real problem isn't the Muslims, its the fools that enable them. If you don't think Muslims are stupid, consider how often they'll blow themselves up making a bomb. When the IRA was actively involved in terrorism we didn't hear near the stories of that sort coming out of Ireland. The same goes for the Basques in Spain, the Shining Path in Peru, etc. So left to their own devices the majority of Muslims are their own worst enemy.

That even includes the fools who perpetrated 9/11. We've never really heard just HOW they got those box cutters past security. Did the right palm get greased? Had airport security just gone to shit over the years? Either way, it involves malfeasance on the part of someone besides the 19 scum who brought the planes down.

Like I said, it's the enabling fools that we have to worry about. And it's about those fools I'll focus on now.

Yesterday I heard a pundit on EWTN radio speaking on how lack of anger might be sinful.

The contention was that a lack of anger when evil is perpetuated is likely to lead to an apathetic response to that evil.

IMO that's what we see now and it predates 9/11/01. Our cultural emphasis has been to "go along to get along". For that reason a lot of traditional values have been jettisoned. Those values would include patriotism, a sense of honor, seeing the world's problems in terms of right or wrong with no varying shades of gray, and the abhorrence of immoral acts and ways of living. When these items leave the population at large, we get general apathy, relativistic thinking, a lack of shame. We get where we're at now.

This is evidenced by (going back to the examples of 9/11) the near silence of outrage over both the Flight 93 Memorial and the mosque being built near Ground Zero. That last IS getting a whale of a lot more attention. But that attention would've been considerably less without the alternative media.

The only thing that makes remote sense is that we've been lulled to sleep by the progressives in our schools, media, political circles and entertainment industry. These dingbats, who all have the view that no one will perpetuate evil upon another if enough empathy is shown, have sung a siren's song while the ship of our nation has crashed onto the suicidal reefs of passivity.

We didn't get here overnight, we won't get out of it quickly. I wonder if we'll have the time needed.

To broaden the scope a bit, the same suicidal mindset applies to the illegal alien problem. Just why the hell aren't we up in arms over having 12 million or more people in this land illegally, siphoning off our resources in health care, economic aid to the poor, public education. This is done while at the same time filling our prisons with a disproportionate amount of felons, making entry level jobs harder to obtain for poor minorities native to this land, fueling our illegal drug culture. Yet we just read the news, shake our heads in disgust and turn the page.

We're asleep. We're lulled by the lullaby of hearing how they "do the jobs Americans won't", how the vast majority just want to improve their lot in life. That the income placed into Social Security by illegal aliens out weighs that which is spent on their welfare or incarceration. That song has been sung for generations now, and it goes on.

That mindset doesn't stop there either. Look at the acceptance of "alternative lifestyles". I'm not just talking about homosexuals but let's start there and work on.

For beginners, homosexuality is an aberration. Period. End of story. Show me a gay man or woman and I'll bet dollars to donuts they've other problems such as substance addiction, childhood sexual abuse, a highly dysfunctional family of origin, etc.

Yet we just go along to get along. Now it's gotten to the point that Limbaugh, Coulter, Beck, and other conservative talking heads will espouse the "personally opposed but if you're gay I think it's okay" line. Noted.

If it's just an "alternative lifestyle" tell me why the HIV virus has been spread primarily due to sexual acts popular with the homosexual community? That includes those cases brought on by dirty needles and heterosexual sex. Trace the virus back far enough and you'll find an addict who got their fudge packed, perhaps a seemingly heterosexual man or woman who secretly swings from both sides of the plate.

But we stay mum so as not to appear "judgemental". Now it's to the point that anyone saying active homosexuality is in itself an immoral, dysfunctional behavior that should be curbed will get you labeled a bigot. Look out for those pitchforks and torches when the "B" word gets thrown at you, your lack of tolerance will not be tolerated in this tolerant society.

There are other areas too where this poisonous mindset attacks us all. Think of how sexual promiscuity has become so accepted that for a woman to "wait until marriage" is considered note worthy.

The mindset I've been talking about is in our churches, schools, families, everywhere.

As far as families, are my in-laws the only ones where openly gay aunts, uncles and cousins are never brought to account for their "lifestyles"?

So, how the hell do we get out of this damned mess? How do we start learning to really give a damn about the things that are important, learn to speak up no matter how unpopular it might make us?

I wish to hell I knew. I pray a lot, that's pretty odd for a submarine auxilaryman but I do it. I try to voice my thoughts at times, both on this blog and in the local fishwrap. I send off letters at times when I hope it'll do some good.

But I don't know. Maybe it's all just like taking a piss while wearing a dark suit, you'll feel good but no one will ever notice.

Texas' cost of illegal immigration...

AUSTIN, Texas — Texas spent at least $250 million in the past year for medical care and imprisonment of illegal immigrants and other non-citizens.

The House State Affairs Committee heard testimony in Austin. Lawmakers who convene in January could face a projected $18 billion budget shortfall.

Jerry McGinty, with the Texas Department of Corrections, says prisons last month had 11,766 inmates who are foreign citizens and housing them costs $171 million annually. The federal government reimburses 10 percent.

Rick Allgeyer, with the Health and Human Services Commission, said Wednesday that health care to illegal immigrants cost Texas nearly $100 million.

Rep. Pete Gallego of Alpine says there could be significant effects if public agencies were asked to reallocate resources to check citizenship.

Tell me again how anyone benefits from this?

So what will the Feds do about this? Will the US Marshals be mobilized to protect the sheriff in the same manner they were mobilized to protect abortion clinics after George Tiller was murdered? Will any protest be taken to the Mexican Government? Will border security in Arizona be beefed up? Will the MSM show the same attention here as when a Cambridge, MA. cop had a minor altercation with a black professor? Will those advocating on behalf of illegal aliens condemn this, since there is a tie in between the sheriff's enforcement of immigration laws and the cartel's bounty on him?

Sorry for the stupid questions. It's an old habit.

"Back door amnesty" is a fitting term, especially as the American public will be taking it right up the ass.
