Why give Jimmy Carter any respect?

This man is a walking train wreck. If his presidency wasn't the worst in our nation's history it certainly comes close. The only consolation that ever came out of it was the idea that if we survived Jimmy Carter we can survive anything!

When I was a kid my father taught me that America was a country where it was possible for anyone to grow up and be President.

God help us all, he was right!
