Well it didn't take long for things to go to hell.

Future Speaker of The House Nancy Pelosi has come out with support for Rep. John Murtha to become Majority Leader. Any thoughts of the Dems not going nuts once they took over are long gone. Stand by for lunacy.

John Murtha. The same John Murtha who called Marines cold-blooded killers prior to the completion of an investigation into their actions in Iraq. As of 10/17 of this year no charges had been filed.

The same John Murtha who claims he would not join the military today, but he would like to reinstitute the draft. Speaking for myself, the draft made life miserable for all. As a "lifer" who entered during the heyday of the draft I can say with all honesty it's a real pain to find yourself having to pick up the slack for some goofball that's just biding his time till EAOS.

He refuses to sponsor the "Stolen Valor Bill" which makes it a crime to claim medals that were never earned.

So this twit was given the endorsement of Pelosi. Part of a personal letter to Murtha reads, "Your strong voice for national security, the war on terrror and Iraq provides genuine leadership for our party...".

God help us all. And to make matters worse, the Republicans are acting just as daft. Now Mel Martinez is going to be the RNC chair. Mel Martinez, co-author of the Hagel-Martinez immigration reform bill.

Well, it remains my opinion that this is still a nation governed by, "We The People". Those of us with more than two brain cells working in series at any one time have to get cracking. We've got a country to take back. A big part of the problem has been our own apathy. We've become uninvolved to the point that the dirtbags, moonbats, and Blame-America-First crowd have gotten in control.

We need to get to work.

And having been in the military post-Viet Nam I can say that it looks like deja vu all over again. Our troops are going to get royally screwed. Can you say, "hollow military"?
