By DAN CALABRESE - Gratitude.
Yesterday we all watched with heavy hearts as an entire town was destroyed. In Moore, Oklahoma, we're told that as many as 3,500 homes were flattened by the massive tornado that swept through the town, while the deaths of as many as 30 children at one elementary school broke the hearts of their families as well as the nation, while at the same time we thanked God for the fact that children at another school came out OK.
Today, people who have lost everything take stock, pray to God and start over.
Often on this web site and others, we report on people who will do anything - honest, ethical and moral . . . or otherwise - to protect their position, their status, their standing in the polls, their 15-cent-per-hour raise, their benefits, their property value or their right to party.
I wonder how some of these folks would handle it if they truly lost everything, when it seems sometimes they would melt into wax if they ever lost anything.
Anyway, with that in mind, I thank God for what He has blessed me with, and I ask him to help those who have lost so much - as well as those who have allowed the very condition of their souls to become dependent on what they have.

Subvet,
I just saw the Google earth photos of the path of the F5. It was devastating to see. The path was 5 blocks wide in places and straight thru a housing development. Words cannot describe the destruction. My prayers as with many go out to those families. I wonder if I would be strong enough to survive the aftermath.
Thanks for coming back to the blog-o-sphere.
YIC,
Pops
