It costs a lot to treat the sick? Who knew?
Gee, who'd a thunk this wouldn't work out worth a shit: http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/2013/02/15/cb9d56ac-779c-11e2-8f84-3e4b513b1a13_print.html ?
Any bets there won't be some sort of financial shell game, perhaps an Executive Order of some sort or just a full assault on the wealthy to pay for this? I'm betting on our taxes getting jacked through the roof in one fashion or another.
FWIW, I actually DO sympathize with people like the woman cited in this story, the one suffering from advanced cancer. No kidding, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. We should all live to at least ninety and die quietly in our beds with a minimum of fuss and problems for our families.
Life isn't Burger King, you don't get it your way.
But we all are going to die, no one makes it out of this life alive. We all need to come to an acceptance of that sooner or later. Some of our deaths will be due to lack of money, just the way it goes. We don't all get top shelf medical care because we can't all afford it. Feeling a resentment and anger towards those who are wealthier due to luck, smarts, whatever is just dumb and counter productive. A better use of time would be to get right with God in this life, when you reach the next it'll be too late.
