It's the culture, not the figurehead that counts.
Here's the story: http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/22/4th-straight-year-obama-thanksgiving-resolution-doesnt-thank-god/
As the title of this post implies, I don't fault Obama for neglecting reverence to the Almighty. After all, he's the point man for a party that initially excluded any mention of God from their platform, wholeheartedly embraces unrestricted abortion, applauds the demise of traditional Judeo-Christian values.
So the author of the article is wrong in focusing on a lawfully elected (now RE elected) President who mentions God almost as an afterthought in a speech concerning our national day of thanks. The man is speaking to his base, the majority of the electorate that felt he was doing a job worthy of continuation.
The focus needs to be on our culture, we need to do whatever we can in the course of a day to assert our beliefs. That's the only way the nation gets remade to what it should be instead of what it's become.
God's will be done, may He have mercy on us all.

I hear ya, kiddo. Kinda like I was saying on my blog post today. I have to quit asking myself "What am I going to do about it?". I'll stick with praying, but I also think I have to be a little more forward with holding my Catholic ground. First, I start with my family. Heh-heh.
Not sure if my attempt to prove I'm not a robot will work, I need new glasses and can barely make that stuff out. Sigh.
