It just doesn't make sense...

According to some news reports, our unemployment rate has risen to 9.9 per cent. I'd think this would be bad news but the MSM touts it as a good thing, avowing that many of the out-of-work folks have renewed optimism and so have resumed searching for a job. Thus ranks of the unemployed have risen.

So where were these people before the renewed optimism kicked in? Mars? Pluto? Another dimension?

If this same scenario had happened say, four years ago would we still be told how positive it was?
