This struck me, "Victory can only come when the violent ideologies of radical Islam have been cauterized".

The Hydra we face now will continue to grow. We have got to become energy independent. Take away the money and what can the Muslims do? Saudi Arabia will no longer export it's poison to the world, Iran becomes a complete economic basketcase, the mosques and madrassas lose their life's blood. The followers of the pedophile prophet lose their financial backers and take to soap boxes in a public park, right next to the guy claiming the Galactic Federation is watching us.

That is how we cauterize Radical Islam, take away the money and it loses it's punch. Islam was relegated for centuries to the backwaters of civilization. Then we discovered a need for oil and it turned out the followers of the pedophile prophet were sitting on a good portion of it. As they say, the rest is history. The oil fields were developed by foreigners, "liberated" by the Arab countries they were in and we were set up for the present. Remember the oil embargoes of the 70's, that was the Islamist Hydra learning to flex it's muscles.

If it wasn't for the oil we'd have wiped the slate clean of Islam years ago. Fifteen of the ninteen 9/11 terrorists were Saudi. If it wasn't for the oil we'd have held that country to account on 9/12/01. There would have been an invasion of Saudi Arabia along with the one in Afghanistan. Instead we turned a blind eye to the home of the Wahabbist sect, the root of Al Queda, etc. We've continued to "make nice" with them while their countrymen incite more violence, murder, terror and grief throughout the world. We're dependent on Arab oil and that dependence will kill us if we don't wake up.

We have to open up ANWAR for drilling, build new refineries, go for nuclear power wherever possible. Trying to use ethanol is a nonstarter, one dollar of oil used to produce $1.25 of ethanol isn't smart. Forget it. We have the resources available to get the foreign oil monkey off our backs. We should use them. Period.
