JQ Public wins one.
Something to like about living in Texas.
This ordinance passed by a 2-1 margin, despite heavy campaigning against it by the local clergy, the only major newspaper/fishwrap in the area, all the usual victimhood pimps (ACLU, LULAC, etc). They pulled out all the stops, including a picture of a former Marine in uniform citing his illegal entrance into this country prior to serving in Iraq. No stone was left unturned in trying to defeat this ordinance, at the eleventh hour the mayor even spoke against it due to the probable cost in going to court over it. Regardless of all that the people spoke out loud and clear. Now the local fishwrap is focusing on the trauma the illegals face in moving to a safer place. Wah-frigging-wah!
So when the American public gets to voice their opinion they're likely to prove they don't live with blinders on. If I were still an active drinking man I'd pop the top of a cool one right now. As it is, I think it's coffee time!

I must say I find you calling the Dallas Morning News "the local fishwrap" a bit insulting.
It's not like those poor fish have any say in the matter!!
