On Christine O'Donnell and playing politics to win...
Today as I came home from the store I'm listening to Michael Medved who is opining on the latest debate shown between Christine O'Donnell and Mike Coots for the Senate seat in Delaware.
I like listening to Medved, he's a common sense type who doesn't engage in too much ridicule for it's own sake when speaking of his ideological opponents. There's some invective but not as much as say, Michael Savage. Medved is pretty mellow, comparatively speaking.
So he's taking O'Donnell apart for her less than polished performance. Evidently she uttered a few gaffes, laid herself open to ridicule by talking heads of the liberal MSM. Medved was fairly disgusted, saying he agreed with her answers in principle but they were in no way helping her campaign. He feels she's already lost.
FWIW, I'm sick and tired of politicians who take the safe, "middle-of-the-road" approach. I want whoever is in office to be blunt, honest and holding nothing back for the sake of expediency.
I want someone who calls a spade a spade. End of story.
So maybe the woman is as dumb as a box of rocks. Maybe the people of Delaware will run from her like six year olds from a peer with "cooties". Maybe it'll be deserved.
But right now, based solely on her unvarnished, truthful comments I'm hoping for a landslide win. Just to cause the talking heads on both sides of the aisle to STFU. Just to prove that a fair amount of folk want honesty before political "nuance".
So if that makes me a Neanderthal, well now everyone will say my avatar fits me.
Screw it.

She isn't polished. She isn't a professional speaker. She isn't a professional politician. She blew a couple of answers. I hope she wins. I hope the people of her state realize that voting in a Dem is voting in more massive debt and government control of their lives. We will see on November 2nd.

Arby, for blowing answers and sounding a fool there isn't anyone in the class of Joe Biden. THAT idiot managed to get elected where he's one heartbeat away from the Presidency! I think all the talking heads are pissed at O'Donnell for the other reasons you state.
