They do this by trying to find "nuance", "healing" and an expression that "our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable." in the establishment of that monstrosity right next to Ground Zero.

There was an Greek Orthodox church that was destroyed on 9/11 and they are having to jump through major hoops to rebuild their church. Why does that not surprise me?
Sub - when you and I were growing up we never even heard anything about Muslims except in comparative religion class and now we're building them foot washing sinks in public places. This country is stocked with the biggest illiterates when it comes to history. Muslims are not nice people!

Adrienne, as a teen on the Mojave Desert I had more knowledge of Hinduism than Islam. But after 9/11/01 I learned really quick. No, Muslims are not nice people. This making "nicey-nice is going to come back and bite us all in the ass. BIG TIME!!

We Americans have been badgered since 9/11 that we must show sensitivity to Muslims' delicate feelings or we are in danger of humiliating them. That must only work one way.
