About Me

My photo
A Catholic who follows Rome & the Magisterium. I'm against gay "marriage", abortion, embryonic stem cell research, euthanasia, human cloning. Altar girls, Communion in the hand, Eucharistic Ministers and "Protestant" music in the Church doesn't bother me at all. A proud American retired submarine sailor. Our borders should be secured with a 10 ft. high fence topped by concertina wire with minefields out to 20 yards on both sides and an additional 10 yards filled with warning signs outside of that Let's get energy independent NOW! Back Israel to the max, stop appeasing followers of the Pedophile Prophet. Pro 2nd Amendment, pro death penalty, Repeal all hate crime legislation. Back the police unless you'd rather call a hippie when everything hits the fan. Get government out of dealing with education, childhood obesity and the enviornment. Stop using the military for sociological experiments and if we're in a war don't micromanage their every move. Kill your television, limit time on the computer and pick up a book. God's will be done and may He have mercy upon us all.

A bishop who should just shut up...

I mean really, when you're throwing rocks at an armed man you're advertising terminal stupidity. I had a former nephew blinded by a baseball during Little League some years ago. Theres a lot more "give" to a baseball than a rock. IMO the Border Patrol agent was entirely justified.

Mexico City, Mexico, Jun 10, 2010 / 12:44 pm (CNA).- The Archdiocese of Mexico City released a statement this week deploring the killing of Sergio Adrian Hernandez Guereca by U.S. border patrol agents under the international bridge between El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico.

In its statement, the archdiocese said, “There is nothing that can justify that an agent opened fire on the victim, who was only 14 years old. This new act of violence once again confirms that anti-racial policies that violate the human rights of immigrants cannot result in anything good for society and for the world.”

“This crime has led to increased tensions between the countries and makes the border situation even worse. The impunity of this killing will encourage similar acts of barbarism to be committed against Mexicans and immigrants,” the statement indicated.

The archdiocese said Mexico’s Secretary for Foreign Relations has confirmed an increase in the number of incidents in which Mexicans have been hurt or killed by U.S. border patrol agents. From 2008 until the present, the secretary reported 34 documented cases, with 50 percent of them occurring in 2010.

The archdiocese “calls on the faithful to pray for the eternal repose of Sergio Adrian Hernandez and on officials to appropriately punish the person responsible for this cowardly crime.”

“Cardinal Norberto Rivera Carrera, the Archbishop of Mexico City, is united with the family and friends of Sergio Adrian Hernandez in their sadness and mourning,” the archdiocese said

Goody for him. Wonder how he feels about the treatment given illegal aliens who cross into Mexico from their southern border? It includes mandatory jail time (and Mex jails aren't "Club Fed"). Furthermore, who would have the worst human rights record, the Border Patrol of the USA or it's Mexican counterpart?

And since when is anyone found guilty of a crime prior to an investigation? How did that become accepted Church practice? This idiot sounds like he's starting his own Inquisition.

Phooey. Put an electrified fence on the entire southern border and mine the perimeters for 20 yards on either side. THAT will take away problems like this.

Rev. Gregori, I've no doubt you're right. The response is always the same, "guilty until proven innocent" for all USA supporters.
