Our national stupidity is getting people killed.

I recall reading of how the Iraqi government was allowed to vote in a new constitution based on sharia law, this was a few years ago. At the time I thought, "This ain't smart." Seems I was right; Persecution of Christians Increasing in Iraq

IMO since we defeated the government of Saddam Hussein we had the responsibility to insure whatever took it's place was something other than a third world lashup. Sixty years ago we took over both Germany & Japan and made sure we could live with whatever leadership came to power. The inanity of being "sensitive" and "nonjudgemental" to the followers of the Pedophile Prophet in Iraq barred us from using such sanity again. With the results we now see. I honestly don't believe this would happen if we were driving that nation towards a more Westernized frame of mind about religious freedom and other liberties we take for granted here. It's all part of a package deal, the mindset of those leading the nation trickles down to the man in the street.

In addition to everything else, B.O. is now leading the charge for us to get out of that country. For some reason I'm reminded of how we boogied out of Viet Nam and left our former allies hanging high and dry.

I hope I'm wrong but it seems history is about to repeat itself.
