Former abortion doctor speaks.
“For the first time in my life I really looked at that pile of goo at the side of the table, and all of a sudden I didn’t see her wonderful right to choose, and I didn’t see the $600 wad of cash that I made in 15 minutes, and I couldn’t think about what a great doctor I was because I took care of her problem. All I could see was somebody’s son or daughter.”

For the record.
I was one of those fence straddlers. You know the "I wouldn't choose it but I can't tell someone else what to do" people.
Until Nursing School
During Nursing School we learned, from a Medical standpoint, what happens during an abortion. All types of abortions. This is taught because it's a surgical procedure and nurses have to know how to care for the "patient" (the mother) before, during, and after an abortion. (No, it wasn't endorsed...but the content is required.) From that day on I have never been able to be a fence straddler.
Pro-choice (and many pro-lifers too) don't know exactly WHAT happens during an abortion. And most folks don't WANT to know.
But, trust me, teaching and showing the actual medical procedure goes a long way to proving the point. It works even better than showing a smoker a picture of a blackened lung.
I personally believe that any woman MUST have a sonogram prior to an abortion. Make her LOOK at what she's doing....might just change her mind, hard to deny that beating heart and those kicking feet.
