Good news for gun owners.
Here's a bit of good news indeed.
Given the reluctance of ANY past Supreme Court to go against a preceding Court's rulings (it happens but very rarely) I don't think we'll see this reversed any time in the next few decades. By then I'll be safely dead and my kids can blog out their frustration on this topic.
I'd be willing to bet a dollar to a donut there's a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth going on amongst the gun grabbers right now.
Wah-stinking-wah!
Too bad I gave up smoking twenty years ago, this would be the time to light up a cigar.

Gee thanks Cookie, I think.
subvet,
I'm not sure you're right on this one. I think if Obama gets in and puts one of his justices on the court, they could overrule that in a jiffy.
They don't really care about stare decisis. That only matters on abortion.
The fact that four justices tried to take our guns away even though it's written in the Constitution plain as day tells me that dark days are coming, my friend.
I think this is a pretty watered down judgement. Any citizen in good standing should be able to have the same ordinance that a well equipped modern light infantry unit would have.
Matthew Archbold, you might be right. From the sounds of things you're more familiar with the legal profession than I am. As for dark days coming, I'm in complete agreement on THAT one!
Reddog, watered down as it might be it's still a victory for those of us who support the 2nd Amendment.
Thanks to all for your comments.
