I can cite the Bible to some extent. Sometimes I get it wrong as a football bat but most times I'm close. And I don't even attend any of the study classes that my parish sponsors.

My point is that the old stereotype of Catholics being monumentally ignorant of Scripture is wrong. But then again, there is always some truth to stereotypes.

I really had to dig to find that story. Wonder if the President had blundered like that if the MSM would have splashed it on the front page?
