Two years and counting...

For the Katrina refugees.

Sheesh! This is ridiculous.

When Katrina hit, the people in Texas jumped right in and helped out. Even in my little corner, once the word was out that the abandoned WalMart was going to be used to house the overflow from Dallas, volunteers showed up in droves to get the place ready. They had more people than materials there the first night, after that they regulated the help so it was an ongoing, steady effort. My point is, the helping hand was there when it was needed.

But two years of charity is too much. I can understand it would be devastating to be uprooted like that. Okay, got it. But move on, don't stay stuck on the pitypot. Otherwise you've proven you're not a victim. You're a parasite.
