Useful idiots and Benedict XVI.

I recall as a child hearing my father opine that the religious don't live in the real world. They're sheltered and they have a different orientation than the rest of us.

Reading about these idiots I'd have to agree. Fools like them and our own USCCB would gladly throw John Q. Public under the bus just to feel good about themselves. Don't look to these useful idiots for any true leadership.

Fortunately, the man in the driver's seat is a little more sensible. The Ponitiff will never tell Muslims to STFU, stop trying to dominate the world and start coming into the 21st century. He's the head of the largest denomination in Christendom, he can't say those things.

Sometimes silence speaks volumes and I think it does here. He's not rushing to show how he feels their pain, wants to make kissy face and show his empathy. Note that after the riots sparked by his comments about a year ago he never apologized for his statements, just expressed sorrow for the anger followers of the pedophile prophet had. Would have been nice if he went on international TV and gave them all the single finger salute but like I said, he can't. But he did stand his ground.
