My opinion of the Pope, his interviews and what he plans for the Church.
The Pope is Peter's successor. Period.
Why he was selected by the Holy Spirit only God knows (literally).
These are strange times, things are happening now that would have been laughable just ten years ago. Tell me that ain't so.
At times like this the Church may need shaking up and rearranging. It's happened before, it could happen again.
Two things are always apparent about Catholics who are Americans; 1) they forget the Church is worldwide and when the Pope speaks he very likely doesn't give the good ole US of A primacy in his thoughts (yeah, it's almost heresy in the eyes of some). 2) Just because things don't go their way quite often fisheaters in this nation feel something evil is transpiring. Sorry folks, the Church is definitely NOT a democracy. American Catholics need to learn to take orders and STFU.
Can't accept what the Vicar of Christ on Earth is saying or doing? Don't be a Catholic. End of story. I can direct you to some really nice Methodist congregations in this area if you'd like. (Note: acceptance is not the same as liking!)
Now excuse me. I've got to say my bedtime prayers and go nite-nite. I'll keep the welfare of the Pope in them, he'll need all our prayers in the coming days. Just MHO.
