If it's a joke how come I'm not laughing?

Lessee, we have nitwit professors AND their students heartily chuckling over garbage like this, we have the military actively training it's members that being a devout Christian is suspicious, one of the two major political parties tried to remove mention of God from it's platform prior to the last Presidential election, all religious based objectors to funding the HHS mandate for abortion coverage have basically been told STFU, and the beat goes on...

Amazingly enough I personally know men of my age who blithely claim we're not seeing a rise in religious persecution in this nation. Their rationale starts with, "Well you haven't seen real persecution such as we endured here in Texas back in the 60's & 70's."

To which I respond, "Why no, I haven't. But I'll bet my next retirement check it wasn't openly approved by the government like this is."

Sometimes I hope if/when they start rounding us up to be placed in reeducation camps, I'll be in the same barracks as these gents. "I told you so" would be petty and small minded. But I think I'd get just a bit of satisfaction from it.
