About Me

My photo
A Catholic who follows Rome & the Magisterium. I'm against gay "marriage", abortion, embryonic stem cell research, euthanasia, human cloning. Altar girls, Communion in the hand, Eucharistic Ministers and "Protestant" music in the Church doesn't bother me at all. A proud American retired submarine sailor. Our borders should be secured with a 10 ft. high fence topped by concertina wire with minefields out to 20 yards on both sides and an additional 10 yards filled with warning signs outside of that Let's get energy independent NOW! Back Israel to the max, stop appeasing followers of the Pedophile Prophet. Pro 2nd Amendment, pro death penalty, Repeal all hate crime legislation. Back the police unless you'd rather call a hippie when everything hits the fan. Get government out of dealing with education, childhood obesity and the enviornment. Stop using the military for sociological experiments and if we're in a war don't micromanage their every move. Kill your television, limit time on the computer and pick up a book. God's will be done and may He have mercy upon us all.

Well it isn't the "Mark of the Beast" but...

It's still damned intrusive: http://educationviews.org/student-expelled-for-refusing-location-tracking-rfid-badge/

Pardon me all over the place but I really DO NOT need Big Brother in any form keeping tabs on my kids, ESPECIALLY after school hours. I am the parent, the school administration works FOR ME and a number of other taxpayers. If my darling child decides to ditch class and head for parts unknown the school can notify me and I will take the appropriate action. End of story.

A tracking chip is another way to either remove or minimize parental influence in a child's life. It may not have been designed for that, but it's a part of the inevitable outcome. It falls right in line with a disregard for parental notification in getting an abotion, just to name one related area.

Things like this have me seriously consider homeschooling. The major drawback to that would be a lack of consistent socialization with outsiders, something the wife and I have determined our two autistic (but highly functioning) boys need. As it is I'm reconsidering that too. I'd be doing the majority of the schooling in that case and boy, would THAT be a challenge!

The linked story shows us the shape of the future, please note that the story isn't set in some liberal state of the northeast but in that oft cited prorotype of "red" states, Texas. Yep, we have our moonbats here too.

The scary thing isn't the card. Teachers have been acting as if their pupils were their property for generations.

The scary thing is the lack of parents with shotguns going to the school, explaining who gets to raise the kids.

IR, the lack of parental outrage (there is some but nowhere near what it should be IMO) can be attributed to our growing indifference as our rights are infringed upon. The decades of "going along to get along", and "it's no big deal" as excuses are taking their toll.

As far as keeping track of kids is concerned, I thought roll call at the beginning of the school day was the way it was done. This information gathered by a tracking chip will by shared by the school with law enforcement, and other government agencies. You can bet your life on it.
