Abortion: 38 years after Roe vs. Wade
Here's a statement from B.O.:
Today marks the 38th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that protects women's health and reproductive freedom, and affirms a fundamental principle: that government should not intrude on private family matters.
I am committed to protecting this constitutional right. I also remain committed to policies, initiatives, and programs that help prevent unintended pregnancies, support pregnant women and mothers, encourage healthy relationships, and promote adoption.
And on this anniversary, I hope that we will recommit ourselves more broadly to ensuring that our daughters have the same rights, the same freedoms, and the same opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.
We've a long way to go yet. I attended the Memorial Mass and March here in Dallas today. It's growing in size, a few years back when I went, everyone fit very comfortably in the Guadalupe Cathedral but this year they had to erect a tent outside to contain the overflow.
That doesn't take into account the members of Trinity Baptist Church who joined us on the March to the Federal building where Roe vs. Wade was initially decided. Trinity Baptist is no small group either.
So for whatever personal observations are worth, the prolife movement is growing.
But as evidenced by the statement coming from our Chief Executive, Foggy Bottom and it's denizens are still sitting firmly & comfortably in the lap of Moloch.

I can think of ONE person who, in hindsight, I wouldn't have minded being aborted. Betcha can't guess who.
I know, thats not very Christian of me, and your correct, BUT if there ever was a case FOR abortion, he's the poster child (pun intended).
I think it would be more honest of the President if he had said "that government should not intrude on some private family matters." He'd intrude on my private family decision to homeschool in a split second if he thought he could get away with it, and he'd ship my children off to a public school.
Arby, in a New York minute. The better to indoctrinate them. For a good example of how that would work in the long run, remember the neighbor of Winston Smith in "1984" and how his kid ratted him out.
Subvet--Obama is a closet fascist who would love to have the government interfere in family matters as much as he could. not because he is evil, just ask him, he'll tell you he isn't. But because he actually believes that he's the smartest man in America and knows the right answer to everything.
BTW--I finally got my Roe v wade post up. Don't hate me for it.
