The R.I.P. posts...

I'm taking a break. It's gotten so I dread going online because I'll be cutting and pasting information found about yet another military member killed. It's wearing me out.

If that makes me a candyass, fine. So be it.

So the posts will be suspended for a bit. No longer than necessary but for a bit.

How do the military representatives who notify the families manage to do it as a routine duty?

  1. I understand....Since my son deployed to Afghanistan, I have had to ease up my "His Star Has Turned From Blue to Gold" posts. So many, too many.
As for the duty of notifying families, I am almost certain they would find honor in it...just as you and I do in our posts...but oh it must make their hearts hurt.
Too many times as I have been turning the corner to come home...I look for one of 'those' government cars. (it's my reality for now)
    Take a well deserved breather.
    Hugs....

  2. AM, thanks. Coming from a military wife/mom that means plenty.

You and your family will be in my prayers for the safe return of your son.
