When I was going through the process of retiring from the Canoe Club I attended a seminar on resume writing. The leader told a story of a PNC who wanted to see what he could get away with by writing entirely ficticious resumes. Seems he was pretty good, he stopped only after an interview for the position of airline pilot turned into a real job offer. He had the sense to decline. Supposedly the interviewers were not amused and mentioned legal action.

Tell a big enough whopper with a straight face and people will believe it.
