Another reason to pass the Stolen Valor Act
You can't make this stuff up.
I love running into people like this. They always assume it's a piece of cake to act the part of a former military man. One or two questions have them squirming like there's a hot poker up their butt.
But 400 lbs? Did he think the Battle of the Bulge was a diet program?

Yupper...we had a guy up here in the Syracuse, NY area a few years back that wound up as the Commander of the local Vietnam Vets...AND...the American Legion. He had many folks convinced. It was eventually learned that he had NEVER served in any service. Man...did those two organizations take some black eye's for that. All ya have to ask fer is a DD-214...No DD-214...No Membership...
BTW Subvet...I put ya inta my blogroll...hope y'all don't mind...
Kinda like wearing Dolphins when your not a Submarine Sailor, huh?
I always run into down and outers begging on the streets or sitting in the library to get out of the weather who want to tell me they've never been the same since 'Nam.
Nobody I ever knew in the service ended up on the streets, it gives you survival skills, above all else. I always feel sorry for these guys and give them a couple bucks.
It never occurred to me that someone would want to impersonate a military officer. I guess that in itself proves they know nothing about the real military.
