Movie Review: "One Night With The King"
Excellent flick. Taken from the novel "Hadassah" which was based on the Book of Esther in the Bible, this is an enjoyable family-friendly film with no sex or vulgarity. The violence is minimal and more suggested than anything else. Some fairly well known actors in it; John Noble, Omar Sharif, Peter O'Toole, John Rhys-Davies, and "Tiny" Lister. Stays faithful to the Bible for the most part, only fleshing out the story where needed with no contradictions that I could see. If you're looking for a Saturday afternoon, escapist flick this is a keeper. Ditto if you want a Biblically themed movie. It could be enjoyed by athiests, Jews, Gentiles, Hindus, etc. Muhammad might not like it but who cares?
