So today's in-depth, comprehensive report of the news on our local fishwrap contained (cue the drum roll): (A) a big spread about the upcoming 50th anniversary of JFK's assassination here in the DFW area. (B) Some info on the upcoming legislative session for the Texas House & Senate. (C) Midway through the first section was a story about gun  shows cancelling their scheduled events after the Sandy Hook shooting. (D) A piece of how Obama is weighing keeping troops in Afghanistan after we turn everything over to the locals.

The following were not mentioned: (A) The support shown to Hobby Lobby yesterday for their stand against the HHS mandate. (B) The call by the USCCB to all American Catholics for fasting and prayer on the topics of religious freedom, abortion, the sanctity of marriage. (C) The latest death toll from fighting in Afghanistan. (D) The successful defense of her family by a mother who hid with her kids in an attic and shot a burglar five times when he found them. (E) The way John & Joan Q. Public are arming themselves in response to fears our political elite will soon scuttle the 2nd Amendment.
