Is this a bit macabre or is it just me?
And here's the story: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/9101874/Minister-praises-plan-to-heat-swimming-pool-from-fires-of-crematorium.html
Pardon me all over the place, but the whole thing gives me some chills. Now to put it in perspective, when I go to a graveyard I take care to walk around the graves, when I pass a makeshift cross w/garlands on the roadside (something I didn't run across until moving to Texas. It signifies the scene of a fatal accident.) I'll often say a quick prayer for the departed and their family. So maybe I'm just a bit out of touch.
But whats next? Maybe instead of just burying Uncle Louie we could use his skin for a lampshade? His tattoo that says "Mom" would really look cute with a 60 watt bulb behind it.
In all seriousness I wonder if this is just another manifestation of our cultural inclination to devalue human life.
