Here's the story: Obama defies Congress with ‘recess’ picks
The portion I found most noteworthy was, "The president introduced Mr. Cordray during a trip to Ohio Wednesday, telling a supportive crowd that the Senate Republicans’ ongoing blockade of his nomination “inexcusable.”"
For a Constitutional scholar he sure is ignorant. The Founders of our nation wanted to intentionally make any sort of action by ANY ONE OF THE THREE branches of our government difficult to perform. That built-in impediment insures we don't find ourselves suddenly under the control of idiots with an agenda. Put it simply, if you believe that government works best which governs least, you'll go out of your way to hamper any action by it. End of story.
Yet B.O. whines about how hard it is to get what he wants done. Boo-fucking-hoo.
Now he's setting himself up as a king-like figure. Funny, I thought we fought a war a few centuries back to get rid of buttheads like that. Silly me, "clinger" that I am.

SubVet, not everyone has been raised in an environment that promoted personal diligence and a personally responsible work ethic.
Like Charles Ponzi, Al Gore and other lazy liberals (and con artists), some children come from well-to-do families or have been pampered. Others, like greedy or politically ambitious lawyers, become human parasites. But, let us not be too judgemental. Termites are not a creation of man and they too serve a similarly dubious purpose.
Only voters control the political ascendancy and proliferation of such lawyers. It is past the time for voters to have awakened.
The senate has been "meeting" every three days, as the consitutional test of a recess is that it lasts more than three days, just to keep him from having the legal authority to do this.
The law suits to block him, citing the fact that IAW current law, the Senate is in session, are already started.
In two ways Obama reminds me of Andy Jackson--he rose to power on a "populist wave" and he blows of the federal courts. I hope this gets him a sharp slap, and returned to the constitutional limits on power he so decried.
Vigilis, you're absolutely right in noting the role voters have played in placing these scoundrels where they can do the most harm. Hopefully more are awakening to the damage done by not thoroughly vetting candidates for office.
IR, just slightly off topic but it's amazing how many folks are ignorant of the damage done by Jackson during his time in office (until recently I certainly was).
I think this is due in part to a revision of history, much like what we often complain about for more current things. So I wonder how history will be revised concerning Obama's "Reign of Error"?
