Weiner and truly important things...
Why is so much attention given to an idiot who won't stop sniffing around younger women when our Chief Executive is arrogantly involving us in a war with complete disregard to the War Powers Resolution of 1973?
The question needs to be asked of not only the MSM but also Drudge, Breitbart, etc.

The War Powers Act. Isn't that in the Constitution that he swore an oath to "preserve, protect and defend"? It appears that he's neither preserving, protecting or defending it if he's not following. So, he's breaking his oath. Isn't that a crime? In his case - treason. Perhaps, I should start a class action lawsuit. What do you say sir?
Because most ofus are dumb a$$es who want to be entertained, instead of informed?
Rick, count me in on that lawsuit. They'll send us both to reeducation camps but thats probably inevitable anyway.
IR, kind of like bread and circuses?
MRG, you and the Ignorant Redneck are thinking alike. Better be careful, the Thought Police will track us all down.
because he could easily be blackmailed and that would affect us all my friend..but youre right..there are horrors going on all around!
WHT, true enough. But the amount of attention being paid this creep far exceeds what is necessary. The House Ethics Committee should take this up and the man should be held accountable by his constituents. Yes, he is a Congressional Representative and so his actions effect us all. But I'm disgusted by the inordinate amount of attention paid to him while the actions of our Imperial President's go relatively unnoticed. Weiner will be history very soon but the fallout from the actions of our Ceasar-in-Chief will impact on our children and grandchildren for decades to come.
I'm reminded of nothing so much as the movie, "Wag The Dog".
I just want to know why this has to be so blasted important when Iran and the whack job heading that country are on the loose with nukes? Obama hasn't said boo (oh, wait I think that was an exact quote) about it but Libya? Yikes!!!
Patty, it's all about priorities and you can bet whatever benefits our nation the most has the lowest ones.
I didn't think the Weiner thing was something I wanted to write about until today. I'm not saying that his story is more important than the War Powers Act, but it does go to the basics of what kind of people we are electing and supporting who are making the big decisions that effect everyone in this country.
The bar of morality has been set so low that it seems our politicians can lie to us as much as they want and they will get away with it. They can destroy our Constitution and nary a peep.
The sad thing is that the "Progressives" will defend whoever they get into office because their egos and lack of morality won't allow them to do anything else.
This is why, imo, that we have to clean out the slugs that are muddying up our government. If we can't even get rid of a guy like Weiner, how do we expect to get rid of a guy like Obama?
Mary Ellen/Nunly, I completely agree with all that you've written. As with my response to Woman Honor Thyself, I'll state that my gripe isn't with coverage and disgust at this overgrown juvenile, I'm disturbed by the inordinate amount of attention it receives while greater problems are ignored.
Weiner isn't the first sleazy locally elected politician we've had. Think of Marion Barry of D.C., Charles Rangel of Harlem (he succeeded Adam Clayton Powell, another dirtbag), the list goes on and on.
But these men were elected to represent local areas, B.O. was elected to represent ALL of us. Yet his disregard for the law of the land (Libyan regime change, failure to defend DOMA, etc.) gets a pass not just from the MSM but from "alternative" news sites which give more coverage to the hijinks of Weiner than anything else.
I'm not saying there is zero coverage of the President's acts, just not as much as there should be.
We're a part of the problem too. When we routinely follow along with the stories getting the lion's share of coverage by the MSM we're playing the same "Wag The Dog" scenario.
This topic is rapidly earning me a name as a crank, it's probably a well justified appellation!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Subvet- Well...here's another story that was passed by the main stream media (surprise surprise). I saw this and thought of your post.
While Weiner Wept...
http://patriotupdate.com/articles/while-weiner-wept-doj-charged-with-obstruction-of-justice
While the entire world watched Weiner weep for the cameras about his probable porn addictions, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) filed subpoenas against the Department of Justice, potentially charging Eric Holder and company with Obstruction of Justice.
The reason, according to the Daily Caller, is because “the Obama administration still hasn’t complied with Issa’s requests for documents or a subpoena he issued on April 1. Before Attorney General Eric Holder appeared at a Judiciary Committee, DOJ supplied several documents that were already public.”
The DOJ also allowed Issa’s investigative team to “view several heavily redacted documents in DOJ headquarters, but wouldn’t allow his team to take them back to the committee for further inspection.”
The documents the DOJ provided were “so redacted you weren’t sure there was writing underneath.”
So on the day of Weinergate, Rep. Issa announced the June 13 hearings to examine whether DOJ is required to respond to a “lawfully issued and valid Congressional subpoena.”
Mary Ellen/Nunly, more of "Wag The Dog". While a showdown between this Administration and Congress begins we're regaled by the MSM with exploits from a forty-something juvenile. The art of misdirection in action.
