Two prayers....

God's will be done and may He have mercy upon us all.

About Me

My photo
A Catholic who follows Rome & the Magisterium. I'm against gay "marriage", abortion, embryonic stem cell research, euthanasia, human cloning. Altar girls, Communion in the hand, Eucharistic Ministers and "Protestant" music in the Church doesn't bother me at all. A proud American retired submarine sailor. Our borders should be secured with a 10 ft. high fence topped by concertina wire with minefields out to 20 yards on both sides and an additional 10 yards filled with warning signs outside of that Let's get energy independent NOW! Back Israel to the max, stop appeasing followers of the Pedophile Prophet. Pro 2nd Amendment, pro death penalty, Repeal all hate crime legislation. Back the police unless you'd rather call a hippie when everything hits the fan. Get government out of dealing with education, childhood obesity and the enviornment. Stop using the military for sociological experiments and if we're in a war don't micromanage their every move. Kill your television, limit time on the computer and pick up a book. God's will be done and may He have mercy upon us all.

On Fr. Corapi: Let it go folks.

Here's the link leading to his blog and message about his future plans: http://theblacksheepdog.us/

I'll only say that it does no good to beat the batsnot out of this topic. As Catholics we'll become more aware of coming troubles for the Church, both here in the USA and abroad. Time to knuckle down, live our lives as if we're the only copy of the Catechism people will ever see and pray our asses off.

Things are going to get worse before they get better.

God's will be done.

This is the novena I had done awhile back for our priests. I think it's a good idea to revive it. Pray for our Pope, our bishops, and our priests; that they may remain strong and steadfast in the face of the enemy and his minions.

The Ranter, thanks for that. It's advice well worth taking.

Fr. Corapi needs our prayers, not our condemnation. People are overreacting, like he is leaving the Catholic Church when he in fact is trying to deal with an extremely tough situation. The novena sounds like a great idea!

Here is my response: http://tunecedemalissedcontraaudentiorito.blogspot.com/2011/06/is-it-right-for-church-to-presume-guilt.html

It has long been my practice to just "move on" when I read something I don't agree with. But last night and today I have left a comment on every "Catholic" blog I could saying the same thing - "everything Father Corapi has said about the investigative process used in the Church is true." I know this for a fact.

I was particularly offended by Mark Shea, a man who makes his living off of being a "professional" Catholic, and his vile little rant. It is the reason I quit reading him years ago.

I was also surprised by Elizabeth Scalia piling on the bandwagon.

These people, and their ilk, are the main reason I quit posting on Catholic stuff and deleted all but a few Catholic blogs from my reader.

I say this from a perspective of, while liking what few presentations I've heard from Father Corapi, I could no way be accused of being some sort of "Corapi drone."

I think you'll agree that past a certain age (going on 66 for me), subscribing to any sort of idol worship of anyone is a bit, well - old :-)

I liked what you said over at Nunly's place. Very good!

Teresa, thanks for that. The novena is sounding better and better all the time.

Adrienne, it's a mark of his effectiveness that so many are trying to tear the man down. I won't speak about what he's now doing, like I keep saying, who does any dispute over this really benefit? A lot of our fellow bloggers should do a quick review of the 8th Commandment.

As for Shea, your desciption of him take the words right out of my mouth.

Thanks for your kind words.
