Two prayers....

God's will be done and may He have mercy upon us all.

About Me

My photo
A Catholic who follows Rome & the Magisterium. I'm against gay "marriage", abortion, embryonic stem cell research, euthanasia, human cloning. Altar girls, Communion in the hand, Eucharistic Ministers and "Protestant" music in the Church doesn't bother me at all. A proud American retired submarine sailor. Our borders should be secured with a 10 ft. high fence topped by concertina wire with minefields out to 20 yards on both sides and an additional 10 yards filled with warning signs outside of that Let's get energy independent NOW! Back Israel to the max, stop appeasing followers of the Pedophile Prophet. Pro 2nd Amendment, pro death penalty, Repeal all hate crime legislation. Back the police unless you'd rather call a hippie when everything hits the fan. Get government out of dealing with education, childhood obesity and the enviornment. Stop using the military for sociological experiments and if we're in a war don't micromanage their every move. Kill your television, limit time on the computer and pick up a book. God's will be done and may He have mercy upon us all.

Another Catholic soldier down?

Another well known priest has been placed on administrative leave following allegations of inappropriate conduct. See here for a good analysis of the current situation regarding Fr. Corapi: http://www.ncregister.com/blog/fr.-corapi-convicted-already/

As I stood on a sidewalk outside a Planned Parenthood satellite facility today I was talking to another person involved in the prolife vigil there. Her take on it was that we're losing all the strong voices for the Church. I disagreed, thats what this post is about.

Yep, the more publicly recognized voices seem to be getting silenced lately. Fr. Euteneuer recently disappeared from public view, as I mentioned here: http://agangershome.blogspot.com/2011/02/father-euteneuer-and-his-current.html and now Fr. Corapi is quieted. Two very strong voices indeed.

But each one of us has a voice, each one of us can be heard. Perhaps not as well as the more famous of our Church's defenders, but they CAN be heard.

None of this should surprise anyone, Christ promised His followers they'd be persecuted just as He was. Thats always been a constant for devout Catholics.

He also promised that if we deny Him in this life, we'd be denied in the next. What goes around comes back around. But nothing in that says our voices have to enjoy a certain measure of success.

So perhaps another strong Catholic voice has been rendered mute. That just means the rest of us will have to sing out a bit louder now. Let's keep the teachings of the Magisterium foremost in our minds, that way we stay in tune.

End of story.

With each passing day it becomes harder and harder for me to read any "Catholic" news.

Whether he is innocent or guilty, what he said in his statement is "dead on." The diocesan investigation process stinks to high. I watched it up close and personal and it was ugly.

I think the whole dang Church needs an exorcism.

Adrienne, yep. I can understand there will be screwups and goofs from the higher ups at times. We're human and so are they.

But the amount of butkissing and jumping on whatever PC bandwagon goes rolling by is sickening at times.

MRG, amen. Even if we're not in end times we're certainly under attack. That applies to ALL of us who follow Christ.
