Misadventures in higher education...
"According to the classes I took, I'm a lesbian trapped in a man's body."
That was a statement my oldest son made recently when he was ridiculing the field of psychology as a whole. He then went on to explain that everyone supposedly has three different sexual manifestations; physical, emotional and social.
The physical one you're born with, a quick look between the legs answers whether you're male or female.
The emotional one involves what sex you're attracted to. He likes girls, therefore he's male.
The social one concerns who he gets along best with. He has the least friction/arguments with women, so in that respect he's female. Total it all up, he's a lesbian trapped in a man's body.
Noted. FWIW, he thinks it's crap. So his head is screwed on straight.
I asked if this was a high school or college class he learned it in. He'd done some college work and that's where it came from.
Good thing, I'd hate to think a lot of taxpayer dollars are funding idiocy like that.

So he turned out all right SV?
Yeah, he's fine. Not too big a fan of Psychology but then again, how many of us are?
If he takes advantage of the new equal access laws, the I'm-a-lesbian-trapped-in-a-man's-body-because-my-psychology-teacher-told-me-so routine could get him great access to a girl's locker room. What young man wouldn't want that? I hope he isn't reading.
I LIVE psychology. It's the best screwball humor in the world!
Hey--I get along best with my toddler grandkids--does that make me a toddler trapped in a geezers body.
Psychology is stupid. At least psychiatry tries to be scientific.
Arby, he won't read this. He figures blogs are a waste of time (his mother's influence, what can I say?)
IR, I've always gotten psychology & psychiatry confused. I know one can prescribe drugs, the other can't and thats the extent of my real knowledge. Pretty bad, seeing as I went to a shrink for about a year in preparation for battling the ex over child custody (I never did, thought better of it and now I'm vindicated.)
My son goes to a State University and before he started he couldn't stand Obama, knew he was a liar and corrupt. Now he has just completed his sophomore year and he's an Obot. So, higher education has made him an idiot trapped in what used to be a perfectly sane body.
They must serve double doses of kool-aid in the cafeteria on campus. Sigh....
