About reducing nuke weapons...
Can anyone tell me of a weapon that, once developed & used, for humanitarian reasons was completely taken off the table by ALL nations of the world?
I can't think of any either. And those efforts have been going on for centuries. Recently I read of how the crossbow and it's use was banned by the Pope at the time it was developed. That worked out pretty good too, right?
Yeah, noted.
This crap about reducing nukes with their total elimination being the end goal is another "feel good" effort by dreamers who need some serious medication.

Mustard gas? Our country does not, to the best of my knowledge, train to use chemical weapons like this. But, your point is well taken. We have one big freakin' stick to swing with nuclear weapons. We shouldn't get rid of it. B.O. is one ignorant son-of-a-bitch.
Arby, you're absolutely correct about our use of chemical weapons. But my point is that once a weapon is effectively used, somebody is going to keep it in their arsenal even if all the civilized countries don't.
Example: Although we've never found any stockpiles in Iraq, it's a fact that Sadam Hussein used chemicals against the Kurds.
