About Me

A Catholic who follows Rome & the Magisterium. I'm against gay "marriage", abortion, embryonic stem cell research, euthanasia, human cloning. Altar girls, Communion in the hand, Eucharistic Ministers and "Protestant" music in the Church doesn't bother me at all. A proud American retired submarine sailor. Our borders should be secured with a 10 ft. high fence topped by concertina wire with minefields out to 20 yards on both sides and an additional 10 yards filled with warning signs outside of that Let's get energy independent NOW! Back Israel to the max, stop appeasing followers of the Pedophile Prophet. Pro 2nd Amendment, pro death penalty, Repeal all hate crime legislation. Back the police unless you'd rather call a hippie when everything hits the fan. Get government out of dealing with education, childhood obesity and the enviornment. Stop using the military for sociological experiments and if we're in a war don't micromanage their every move. Kill your television, limit time on the computer and pick up a book. God's will be done and may He have mercy upon us all.

Cult of Personality on steroids.

B.O. got the Nobel Peace Prize. Nothing more needs to be said.

Any value that the Nobel Peace Prize once held is completely gone. The Nobel Peace Prize is nothing but a political tool to be awarded to favored people. Likewise, any film committee that would give Roman Polanski an Oscar invalidates the golden statue for all past, present, and future winners.

Arby, well said and Amen.

Yeah — too bad there's not a Nobel Warmongers Prize for Bush, huh?

Dutch, G.W. Bush left office back at the end of January. Have your therapist address this fixation you have about the man. He can do that at the same time he's helping with your delusions regarding Zionist manipulations of our government.

What a friggin' joke! First terrorists, then fag enablers, then ManBearPig hunters, now this.

Dutchman, what SV said. Bush aint President anymore. GET OVER IT!

My comment about GWB is relevant because it ought to be self-evident that the Nobel Committee gave Obama the prize out of the enormous sense of reprieve that the Europeans must have felt when the Most Powerful Nation on Earth elected someone calm and rational. After eight years of warmongering and saber rattling, the fact that Obama is willing to deal with other nations in a civilized manner has come as a real relief to a very tired and ravaged world.

Dutch, you're lying.

You came on this post with a comment designed to do no more than raise a little hate and discontent. Period.

Not much of a "Catholic" way of doing things, is it? Then again, neither one of us really qualifies as being especially devout. The biggest difference in that area between you and I is that I'll cheerfully admit my failings.

Your comment wasn't even particularly original, you used the same line over at the Creative Minority Report. Just trolling around, trying to stir shit up in the same fashion a nerdy little teen might when no one pays him attention.

But back to the Nobel Peace Prize.

The truth be told, you can't justify the awarding of this prize to B.O. either. Unless you're completely braindead I'm sure you'd agree some of the following contenders were more deserving;

Sima Samar, women's rights activist in Afghanistan: "With dogged persistence and at great personal risk, she kept her schools and clinics open in Afghanistan even during the most repressive days of the Taliban regime, whose laws prohibited the education of girls past the age of eight. When the Taliban fell, Samar returned to Kabul and accepted the post of Minister for Women's Affairs."

Ingrid Betancourt: French-Colombian ex-hostage held for six years.

"Dr. Denis Mukwege: Doctor, founder and head of Panzi Hospital in Bukavu, Democratic Republic of Congo. He has dedicated his life to helping Congolese women and girls who are victims of gang rape and brutal sexual violence."

Handicap International and Cluster Munition Coalition: "These organizations are recognized for their consistently serious efforts to clean up cluster bombs, also known as land mines. Innocent civilians are regularly killed worldwide because the unseen bombs explode when stepped upon."

"Hu Jia, a human rights activist and an outspoken critic of the Chinese government, who was sentenced last year to a three-and-a-half-year prison term for 'inciting subversion of state power.'"

"Wei Jingsheng, who spent 17 years in Chinese prisons for urging reforms of China's communist system. He now lives in the United States."

But the awarding of the prize was all about politics, nothing more. It can't be justified in any other fashion. So the default position of you and your ilk is to blame it on Bush, and portray him in the worst possible light.

Honestly, when do you start owning up to being taken in by Obama & Co.?

Has he done anything to promote human rights? Hardly, as evidenced when his Secretary of State recently assured the Chinese no mention would be made of the subject during her visit to that nation.

Has he done anything to reduce abortions? Kind of difficult if rescinding the Mexico City Policy was supposed to do that.

Has he fostered greater communication between the races in this country? Nope, just look to the way his foot flew into his mouth when commenting on the arrest of a black professor by a Cambridge, MA. cop. Even the blacks on that police force were outraged by the President's comments.

Has he helped the economy? My great grandkids will be paying off the debt.

I'm just touching on a few of the items in the recent news, certainly you're aware there are many more. So far the Obama Presidency has been nothing but a trainwreck in progress.

But I doubt you'll acknowledge any points made here. You'll continue citing the Bush years, distracting only yourself from the mushrooming problems of the present Chief Executive.

Keep drinking the Kool-Aid.

Comment moderation is a wonderful thing. You've made your last comment on my blog. I'm doing this more in self-defense than anything else. Texas has some strict laws against abusing the mentally incompetent. Posting anymore of your drivel might lay me open to prosecution.
