After reading the thing my biggest concern is that he'll bore some kid to death with it. IMHO it's a condescending piece of crap coming from someone who long ago forgot how a young mind works. Nobody in the target audience will be listening and I'd advise other parents to focus on how the teachers integrate it into their lessons. Teachers as a whole are pretty good, or so my experience has led me to believe. But there are always the exceptions that you have to keep away from your kids.
Just my two cents worth.

after reading it, I now have a bruise on my forehead from my head hitting the keyboard when I fell asleep. Twice.
Our school system declined to show it. Period. No questions, no discussion, no lessons.
I read it. It was a condescending, boring piece of garbage. I have questions on whether or not that was the intended speech or if it were modified after all the objections?

Amy, I'd bet it wasn't the original. There was too much of a disconnect between the lesson plan for implementation of B.O.'s goals that was distributed to educators and the actual speech given.
