Were Sodom & Gomorrah any worse?
I found this article over at Renew America; http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/abbott/090830
Here's a tidbit that sums it all up: "...Some may feel it is not immoral to murder, rape and so on. It is when a great deal of people believe something is immoral that it becomes against the law. It still doesn't make it immoral to everyone... " I encourage everyone to go read the entire thing, it's short and worth it.
Great God, how far we have fallen when some one will blithely spout such revolting garbage.

I taught teenagers who think that way. When I pressed them using the same arguments Abbott uses in his response, they had to think about when thought crosses into action, and why some things are intrinsically wrong. I have a feeling that their moral relativism was learned in school.
Harry, I'd say there was hope for those teens since you'd caught them at a relatively early age.
Whats so depressing about the linked article is the woman speaking to Abbott identifies herself as a mother of three. Her chances of learning somethings are intrinsically wrong are considerably less than theirs.
Her dialogue is a sad commentary on our society. There are many people just like her all over our country. And they vote.
You know SV, it scares the bajesus out of me that such people like that breed AND VOTE! These people are mindless sheep.
