About Me

My photo
A Catholic who follows Rome & the Magisterium. I'm against gay "marriage", abortion, embryonic stem cell research, euthanasia, human cloning. Altar girls, Communion in the hand, Eucharistic Ministers and "Protestant" music in the Church doesn't bother me at all. A proud American retired submarine sailor. Our borders should be secured with a 10 ft. high fence topped by concertina wire with minefields out to 20 yards on both sides and an additional 10 yards filled with warning signs outside of that Let's get energy independent NOW! Back Israel to the max, stop appeasing followers of the Pedophile Prophet. Pro 2nd Amendment, pro death penalty, Repeal all hate crime legislation. Back the police unless you'd rather call a hippie when everything hits the fan. Get government out of dealing with education, childhood obesity and the enviornment. Stop using the military for sociological experiments and if we're in a war don't micromanage their every move. Kill your television, limit time on the computer and pick up a book. God's will be done and may He have mercy upon us all.

A decent judge in Illinois...

Eviedently not all judges are activist liberals, as proven by this story; http://www.lifenews.com/state4033.html It deals with an effort to fight a state law mandating pharmacists dispense the "morning after" pill, regardless of their religious convictions.

One common argument I keep coming across involves the accusation of the prolife being selective in their support of things like this. The thinking goes, "You'll be all for some pill pusher not fulfilling a prescription or selling a product that runs against your private beliefs, but what if that same pharmacist refused to dispense insulin? What would you do then?"

My answer; not much at all.

This is where the free market comes into play, NO medical professional should EVER have to act contrary to their beliefs. If those beliefs are outlandish enough you can bet word will get around and their client base will dwindle. They'll feel the cost of fealty in their pocketbook and thats a small price to pay.

What the hell ever happened to freedom of religion in this country? Now we're having to fight for doctors, nurses, etc. to have the right to follow their conscience.

Look, it's not like some nut job is taking a knife to the throat of a pregnant woman and threatening her if she doesn't carry the child. It's about not participating in what we prolifers believe is murder. Period.

Yet to hear some of the pro "choice" crowd tell it, there must be some ironclad obligation to follow through with whatever is necessary for a woman to exercise her "choice" (and why is it a choice only when opting for killing the kid is done? Isn't keeping a child equally a "choice" to be respected?). That obligation entails dispensing pills, killing a child when it's almost completely out of the womb, etc.

Never mind the personal beliefs of medical professionals, they're supposed to check them in at the door when they come to work.

This crap is insane.

"Free choice" is an oxymoron when it comes to abortion.
