Political sobsisters take note...

"It's no use, the fat cats are running the government and people like you or I just have to live with it."

I can't count the number of times I've heard that and wanted to throttle the speaker.

Apathy is always in fashion and that is the number one excuse for doing nothing in response to government screwups. That applies to the entire population.

I've heard it from college grads, I've heard it from grade school dropouts. It gets spoken by those young enough to be my child or old enough to be my parent (the last are getting rarer by the day though).

Can you spell B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T? Sure you can!

Here's a recent example to the contrary from the stimulus package being proposed by B.O. Story here. Seems he might just be another politician with his ear to the ground and finger in the wind.

Other recent examples might include the resistance to "comprehensive immigration reform" that the previous administration experienced when many folk started mailing in bricks & such to Congress. Seems those in Foggy Bottom can listen when We The People start talking loud enough.

Okay, thats enough of a rant from me. Just needed to get that off my chest, apathy is a hotbutton issue here.
