Somebody is a liar.
I recently posted about a news article that stated the upcoming meeting of the USCCB was scrubbed of the discussion regarding prochoice Catholic politicians who received Communion and what to do about them. Seemed fairly solid to me, after all the spokeswoman of the USCCB, Sister Mary Ann Walsh had stated any discussion regarding abortion & politics had been shelved.
Now another article comes out saying, "It ain't necessarily so." Maybe they'll do the right thing after all and address how Catholic politicians should conduct themselves (Something that should have been addressed about the time JFK came on the scene, maybe even earlier, wasn't Al Smith a Catholic?)
Regardless, somebody is lying and should be held accountable for it.

I don't think anybody was lying. I think that a behind the scenes power struggle between the american Catholic bishops and the Roman Catholic bbishops just got seen, a little.
Of course, it may have been the Modernist faction in the Administrative sections of the conference trying something and loseing.
