Islamic sharia law courts in Britain are exploiting a little-known legal clause to make their verdicts officially binding under UK law in cases including divorce, financial disputes and even domestic violence. (The nose of the camel is in the tent.)

A new network of courts in five major cities is hearing cases where Muslims involved agree to be bound by traditional sharia law, and under the 1996 Arbitration Act the court's decisions can then be enforced by the county courts or the High Court. (One legal system for them, another for the rest of the country.)

Officials behind the new system claim to have dealt with more than 100 cases since last summer, including six involving domestic violence which is a criminal rather than civil offence, and said they hoped to take over growing numbers of 'smaller' criminal cases in future.("smaller" is a subjective term. Look for that camel to get entirely in the tent in a few years.)

The revelations sparked uproar yesterday, with warnings that the fundamental principle of equal treatment for all - the bedrock of British justice - was being gravely undermined.(Ya think?)

Critics fear Britain's Islamic hard-liners will now try to make sharia law the dominant legal system in Muslim neighbourhoods, and warn that women often receive less favourable treatment at the hands of the traditional Islamic courts.(Too true, especially in those countries that have traditionally followed sharia law. In rape cases a woman needs six male witnesses to the act. Since this would probably include the rapist(s), a woman puts her life in jeporady. Women naive enough to try this often find themselves on trial for adultery, which often carries the death penalty.)

The issue erupted into a major controversy earlier this year after the Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams claimed publicly that formal recognition of sharia law 'seemed unavoidable', and Lord Chief Justice Lord Phillips gave his backing to the use of Islamic courts to deal with family, marital and financial disputes.(Spineless is as spineless does.)

Sharia courts have operated unofficially for years among Britain's Muslim communities but until now their rulings could not be enforced, relying instead on parties agreeing voluntarily.(How many times will a party be made "an offer they can't refuse" to have sharia courts used?)

The Muslim Arbitration Tribunal panels, set up by lawyer Sheikh Faiz-ul-Aqtab Siddiqi, are now operating in London, Bradford, Manchester, Birmingham and Nuneaton, with more planned for Glasgow and Edinburgh.(Isn't progress wonderful?)

Mr Siddiqi said: 'We realised that under the Arbitration Act we can make rulings which can be enforced by county and High Courts.(Translation: the fools gave us the rope to hang them with!)

'The Act allows disputes to be resolved using alternatives like tribunals. This method is called alternative dispute resolution, which for Muslims is what the sharia courts are.'(Noted)

Cases handled by the courts so far include Muslim divorce and inheritance to nuisance neighbours, he said. But as well as civil disputes they have also handled six cases of domestic violence.(Oh boy! Bet there were no complaints from the women afterwards, right?)

In all six cases, he said, sharia judges ordered husbands to take anger management classes and mentoring from community elders, but issued no further punishment. (Oh, THAT'LL work!! Or not. Just tell Omar he really shouldn't be decking his wife and he'll fall right into line.)

All the women subsequently withdrew their complaints to the police, who halted investigations.
Mr Siddiqi claimed the advantage was that marriages were saved and couples given a second
chance.(Translation: the wives lived when they showed they would play ball.)

But critics fear Muslim women victims will be pressured into accepting a sharia court settlement, and husbands will escape with lighter punishments than in a mainstream criminal court.(NO!! Really?)

In one recent inheritance dispute in Nuneaton, a Muslim man's estate was spit was between three daughters and two sons with each son receiving twice as much as each daughter - in keeping with sharia law.(And the response from Britain's feminazi's was......?)

In a mainstream court all siblings would have been treated equally.(But that would be so non multicultural!)

Douglas Murray, the director of the Centre for Social Cohesion, condemned the latest development as 'appalling.''I don’t think arbitration that is done by sharia should ever be endorsed or enforced by the British state.'(Give the man a cigar, he states the obvious.)

Shadow home secretary Dominic Grieve said: 'These tribunals have no place in passing binding decisions in divorce or criminal justice hearings. 'Far from handling more criminal cases. They should be handling none at all. 'British law is absolute and must remain so. (Lotsa luck, bet your multicultural crowd won't agree.)

I posted this story because I feel it shows where we'll be headed in the near future. Britain and the USA share many traits, including a political/cultural elite bent on suicide for their respective countries.

What's happening now in Europe in general and England in particular will be our own fate unless we wake up. Things are already shaping up over here to pave the way for this sort of nonsense. Examples I would cite would include the Muslim cab drivers in Minnesotta who refused to carry any passengers with liquor in their possession, the Iowa Senate opening prayer being offered by a muslim cleric who clearly asked for victory over nonbelievers (gee, wonder who he might have meant? The Libertarian Party maybe?), the establishment of numerous madrassas with Saudi Wahabbist backing in New York and other cities, and the list goes on.

It won't be the followers of the pedophile prophet who do us in. It will be our own suicidal elitists who are allowed to play out their "We Are The World" fantasies on a national stage. Their supposed "openmindedness" to all things Islamic will pave the way for another Civil War.

We as a people have to wake up and start getting involved. Get involved in our local governments, school boards, etc. This will be the only way we might stave off the inevitable conflict. This conflict can be seen in places like France where "youths" (euphemism of the French MSM for young immigrants) periodically go on sprees of destruction in non-muslim neighborhoods. It can be seen in Swedish cities like Malmo where native girls dye their blond hair dark, travel in packs and stay indoors at night lest they get the attention of muslim men. And the list goes on.

How many well meaning people turned blind eyes to what the nineteen hijackers of 9/11/01 were doing prior to that day? How many now try proving "we ain't bigoted" to any local followers of the pedophile prophet by bending over backwards to excuse behavior they'd be calling the cops on if Americans were involved?
