Funny, I thought Bull Connor was dead.

Here we go again, and again.

White folks like myself are familiar with certain attitudes about their conservative values. One of these is an automatic assumption you're a racist at heart if you don't fall all over yourself when a black disagrees, fails an endeavor or acts out. If you ignore the color of the skin and focus on the evident incompetency, carelessness, irresponsibility, etc. exhibited by portions of the black community, that skin color is quickly thrown into your face.

So much for judging people on their character. Boy, we've come a long way haven't we? (and if a certain sort of white-guilt-consumed liberal reads this sentence, my use of the word "boy" will be judged as evidence of my bigotry).

The "One" is now in trouble. His rock star charisma fading, the race whores on the Democratic side will increasingly cite racial bigotry as the root cause of failure with the electorate. This will stoke the fires of violence and should the election be at all close, you can bet there will be Hell to pay. It won't matter who wins, let it be a close race (and from all indications that's what it'll be) and cries of , "We was robbed" will echo throughout the land.

As the echoes die you'll hear the first gunshots.

I could be as wrong as a football bat and truly hope I am. But in the event I'm not I've already told the War Department she'll be taking her .38 to work with her for the first few months after the election.
