That Russian bear is still hungry.
Here's the latest from Breitbart.
Like many Americans I thought once the coup aborted by Yeltsin & Co. was dead any thoughts of domination by the Russians were a thing of the past. Apparently not.
With our own armed forces strapped to continue action in the areas of Iraq & Afghanistan theres damned little we could do to help Georgia. Not that we would, our track record as an ally has really sucked in recent years. Just ask the South Vietnamese and the Cuban exiles involved in the Bay of Pigs fiasco.
So now Putin and his buddies will do what? Try to retake those countries that broke away from the Soviet Union? The countries of the EU rely mostly on American military forces for their defense, as I already mentioned our own resources are strained, China has nothing to gain by opposing Russia. What does that leave to oppose them?
IMHO between the problems with the followers of the pedophile prophet, our open-like-a-sieve national borders, China's economic aggression and now the Russians we're going to be in for one hell of a ride the next few decades.
