He should stick to insuring compliance with Rome.
Well one of our Catholic bishops is once again putting his big fat nose where it doesn't belong.
The following statement puzzles the hell out of me, maybe because I'm basically a dimwit, "Roman Catholic and other religious leaders have repeatedly criticized immigration raids that target migrant workers, rather than illegal immigrants who commit crimes."
"..immigration raids that target migrant workers,"...hmmm.
Aren't these raids directed against illegal immigrants and not immigrants as a whole? Doesn't being an illegal immigrant in and of itself imply commision of a crime, no matter how small? And how many of these crimes are compounded by the use of fraudulent identification? I don't understand how anybody could possibly make the previous statement with a straight face. Hey, half of my neighborhood speaks English as a second language and ICE hasn't made it here yet, wonder why? Could it be because illegal aliens don't move here!!?
It sounds like the old routine of a speeder cussing out the cop who's writing him a ticket and wondering why the police won't go after "real criminals".
Like I said, I understand I'll never be the sharpest knife in the drawer but some things don't make a whole lot of sense even if you belong to MENSA.
