This is a good example why HomeOwner's Associations (HOA) get such a bad rap. And it looks to be well deserved.

I recall an AA meeting I attended some years back where one of the regulars was griping about having to deal with his HOA. It was Christmas and it involved his decorations. He very loudly wondered what they'd do if he had a crucified Santa put in his front yard and claimed he was covering both Christmas and Easter. There was another member there who wished she could get dildo shaped lights to piss off her HOA. Recovering drunks can be ingenious and inventive.

FWIW, there will be no HOA's in my future!!
