English Catholic Church adoption agency caves to gay laws.
The story is here.
IMHO someone is missing a set of balls. This agency should be shut down, if that isn't possible the Catholic Church should completely disassociate itself from it.
If homosexual acts are wrong, then to place an impressionable child in an enviornment where those acts are condoned and practiced is equally wrong. Forget the crap about "greater good". Every child now placed by this group in the home of a homosexual couple is at risk for emulating that "lifestyle". So this adoption agency is now compliant in the moral degradation of minors.
Things like this make me laugh when the conspiracy theory lovers start shrieking that the Catholic Church is out to rule the world. Our bishops are so pathetically spineless they won't even stand up for the sake of innocent children. The "go along to get along mentality" kicks in and any integrity goes out the window.
Set the bishops' balls on a razor blade's edge and they'd look like BB's in the middle of an interstate. Phooey.
UPDATE: I found this statement from then Cardinal Ratzinger when he opined on the subject some time ago. It covers it so much better than I ever could, maybe that's why he's the Pope and I'm just a stay-at-home dad trying to perfect his apple pies. Here it is:
As experience has shown, the absence of sexual complementarity in these unions creates obstacles in the normal development of children who would be placed in the care of such persons. They would be deprived of the experience of either fatherhood or motherhood. Allowing children to be adopted by persons living in such unions would actually mean doing violence to these children, in the sense that their condition of dependency would be used to place them in an environment that is not conducive to their full human development. This is gravely immoral and in open contradiction to the principle, recognized also in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, that the best interests of the child, as the weaker and more vulnerable party, are to be the paramount consideration in every case.

On your side on this one Subvet. The Lutherans seem to feel the same way.
