To Terry Bailey and any of my other high school classmates who served. To my cousins Hank, Jimmy & Richie Mahaney, Charlie, Eugene & Betty Anne Kempton, Francis Nealon, John and Michael Ahern. To my brother John. To all my fellow bloggers who served and anyone else I've inadvertently missed. Fortunately most of you didn't die or get maimed, but the sentiment is the same. Although today is specifically designated for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice I'll take the liberty (purchased with their blood) to thank all vets I've known personally. Honoring the dead is great but one shouldn't have to wait for that to be recognized.

So to ALL vets, both living and dead but especially those who have given their all, thank you and God bless you.
