Terror in the skies preferrable to lawsuits?
Oh, just great. It's not bad enough we're having to worry about another shoe bomber or his ilk. Now we're having to worry about leeches looking to cash in on the concerns of potential victims.
This sums it all up, " ‘Oh, my God? These guys have kids. How can men who have their own children to think about intentionally scare people like that? On the flight, I was with my kids.”
The answer appears to be because they can......."
Sooner or later John Q. Public will get fed up and these fools will be shoved out the door of a plane. Hopefully it will be airborne when that happens and we'll have a version of Agatha Christie's "Murder on The Orient Express" where either all ten suspects simultaneously killed the victim or some unknown did it.
Naturally ten potential victims wouldn't act in such a simultaneous fashion. Nope, never happen. Of course not.
IMHO it wouldn't really matter if the one shoved out the door was a terrorist or a lawsuit leech.

dont think I'll be flying anywhere for awhile!
This is incredible, but Congress passed legislation this year, spearheaded by Rep. Peter King (R-NY) that makes passengers not liable for reporting suspicious behavior on airplanes. So, we have some measure of protection there as passengers, however, the airlines still must be careful to avoid these frivolous and ridiculous efforts.
