I knew this report came out but having a moment of willfull doublethink I did my best to ignore it. No luck. 400 pages? 27 million dollars? YOU MEAN SOMEONE HAD A FULL TIME JOB DOING THIS?

Does anyone have an idea of how much American money went towards this study? This alone is proof of why we should get out of the UN.

But there was good news. I especially liked the quote from the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement, which calls for:
"Phasing out the human race by voluntarily ceasing to breed will allow Earth's biosphere to return to good health. Crowded conditions and resource shortages will improve as we become less dense."

Maybe they could lead by example and persuade most of the world's goofy liberals to join them!

Just a thought.

And New Zealand taxing cow farts? They finally found someplace more loony than Southern California! By going to the article linked in the main one I found this is being done to conform to the Kyoto Treaty. Something to remember next time I hear the USA being condemned for not signing into that insanity.
